Focusing on fast cars/4wd's, more boost, more electric/Hybrid, Dyno and some builds.
Future content will be on current projects and builds including: 2023 - Ford Ranger Raptor (Setting up for hard off road and camping) 1997 - Nissan 180SX Type X (Setup to slay streets) 2015 - BMW Active Hybrid 3 (similar to a 335i with electric boost. Future drift car.) 2015 - KTM Freeride E-XC (Electric enduro bike with rego, heaps of fun) 2006 - Toyota Land Cruiser 105 (1HZ + Turbo, heaps of fun) 2018 - Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 (Enjoying this as a ski but will use motor in future mini jet boat build) 2022 - Eflex Ultra electric mountain board (8kW, carbon fiber deck, crazy fast, heaps of fun)
@DAVO3FAZE reason I ask I've had my car in for remap and because the power is not 335 bhp on my ah3 they won't map it as they says it lost power somewere. But can find nothing wrong... looking at others they seem to stage 1 at near 400bhp. Mines is reading 270bhp standard.
@erictucker8267 I don't know anything about your car or your workshop. 260 wheel HP is standard for all AH3's as they are torque limited by the base maps. If you know how a dyno works its really easy to get any number on the screen. Mine are real numbers and I even show the datalogs at the end of the video.
Cheers for getting back @DAVO3FAZE rare car here in scotland not now to much about them .just when u read the spec seemily 306bhp with help from battery to make 335
@erictucker8267 I also thought it would receive alittle boost from the electric motor up high at peak Hp. But I'm guessing its hitting gearbox torque limits. Fun car tho super responsive. I'm slowly disableing modules to help it skid and drift.
Of you turn the radiator cap alittle tighter you can usually get a few extra PSI. Make sure your on the dyno and keep ya EGTs in check and load it up on steady state.
Thanks for posting this vid. It was a huge help. Saved me heaps of time trying to locate the front diff, transfer case and gearbox stock breather locations. 👍🏻
They rub, you dont get full suspension travel and articulation, their heavier, their more expensive, harder on the drivetrain, lower fuel econ, slower acceleration. Ford are not stupid, they did their proper research putting 33s on from factory.
You can use a raptor to do groceries or drive it off road. I drive it on extreme off road and have had great success on multiple vehicles with beadlocks. Some people like 33s and others like 35s. Each to their own.
@LuuZilla cylinder 4 ring clearance too tight and siezed in piston. Was a forged motor built by a workshop by previous owner. Such a waste block cracked between cylinders so it was a proper mess.
Hello, is it possible that you can help me with the references for the roof bars? I have NOT been able to find which reference fits perfectly. thank you!! You have a very pretty raptor, these days I'll show you how mine is looking.
I almost got a tray but at the time there was no radar kits and I didn't want to mess with the 360 cam. I miss having a tray but this setup is the next best thing. It will look better when I paint it.
Thanks mate, alot of people are running your setup I wanted to do things differently. My live valve system is operating at oem spec and the spaces make the wheels fill the guards perfectly.
Hey just slapped the exact turbo on my 1hz. I havent touched the fuel screw im pretty scared to. At around 3k/3.2k it hits psi 5. Im not running a intercooler. I just got a egt today and havent given it a good run. U recommend i turn up the fuel?
@Slidee haha that's wild nice work. If you look after you HZ it will live forever. I don't know anything about your motor/pump etc but if you adjust your fuel screw no more then I did its a safe amount. Monitor egts very closely the first few times you load it up and you will be fine.
Hey Mate, great video, love the editing and music. Its nice seeing someone keep the OEM look of the guards and mud flaps. Heard quite a few people run into issues with tie-rods with low offset wheels, do you plan on driving this thing hard off--road? Sweet Truck and Silvia!
Thanks mate, I don't have clearance issues with tie rods yet and yes this rig will be heavily abused off road soon. I'll have sliders, bullbar and winch soon then I'll take it off road. I'll definitely pack spare tie rods and cvs when going off road.
@@mkivst180 I showed the size difference between metric and imperial sizes in the video as my cruiser has the same tyre in 315/75R16 I wanted to run real 35's with proper offset on the raptor. You can probally get away with stock guards if you run tyres around 34" with stock offset.
Hi mate I used zinc it as I had it laying around because I use it at work for exposed metal cuts. Any metal sealing paint from your local car part shop will do tho it doesn't need to be anything special.
@@DAVO3FAZE yeah awesome bud , I’m just about to pick up my new 2001 hzj78 with 230k on the clock so future turbo plans will be in full swing , was worried about so many disaster story’s but I think that’s mainly from guys just running to much fuel an boost through the old donks
@harryridley2714 you nailed it. People crank the boost and diesel in way too much and then get confused why things melt. I highly recommend a intercooler I noticed a massive difference after adding it.
Hi Davo, I’ve just fitted the raptor wheels to my xls which I had the wildtrack wheels on them. I’ve fitted the raptor wheels on now and when I’ve spun the front wheels the balancing weights have caught and now haven’t fallen off. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks
Use balance weights that stick inside the rim instead of being clipped to the outside. Alternatively use Hubcentric bolt on spacers but this may not be legal depending where you live.
@@DAVO3FAZE Tx bro. I'm running the standard OEM 255/55 R20 tyres on 20"x 8" rims with +55 off set. I only have as you say in your video 12mm clearance on the stub axle. How much cleaerance do you have between tyre and UCA?
@willemdekant2522 I don't have the wildtrak anymore I have a raptor. But from memory there was plenty of clearance with 33" no scrubbing anywhere including the control arms.
Thanks for posting. I have a Raptor coming end of this month (11 moth wait) and Ford themselves would not or could not even tell me the current wheel offset.! And could not find any solid information on it, can't get more proof than on the wheel itself.
