Installing a single steel bollard in the middle (or better yet on the outside to protect cyclists) would stop cars from driving up onto the path. They absolutely need to make this intersection safer for those outside of a car. Any time pedestrians or cyclists are near a noisy arterial, like this one, there should be steel bollards protecting them. Because cars can veer off the road at any moment. If there is no physical protection, the designers of that street are failing the community.
I haven't been to a Buc'ee's yet and I was in Daytona Beach during Bike Week this March and I wanted to stop at the Buc'ee's off of I-95 but didn't get to as I had to head back to Orlando (Central Florida) and back to Davenport (Polk County) but I will stop at a Buc'ee's this summer
Is this the piece of s*** that's getting nearly half a million dollars annual salary from the city as Austin energy raised its base rates of 20 to $30?
The introduction of a new national stock exchange in Texas could indeed shake things up. It might lead to increased volatility, especially initially, as investors adjust to the new options and trading environment.
That’s true. If the Texas exchange offers unique investment opportunities or attracts significant trading volume, it could shift market dynamics. Staying diversified is key, but you might also want to be cautious and monitor how your current holdings are impacted.
Does anyone have insights on how a new exchange could affect specific sectors? I’ve got a lot of tech stocks, and I’m wondering if they might be more volatile or see new opportunities.
From what I understand, new exchanges can sometimes lead to shifts in liquidity and trading patterns. Tech stocks, which are already quite volatile, might see more fluctuation as traders explore the new exchange. It’s important to stay informed and possibly reallocate if needed.
Agreed. The current US economic climate, with inflation concerns and fluctuating interest rates, could amplify these effects. A new exchange could bring both risks and opportunities, depending on how it’s managed and regulated.
With the US economy facing various uncertainties, such as potential interest rate hikes and inflation, a new exchange adds another layer of complexity. It’s essential to keep an eye on economic indicators and adjust your portfolio to mitigate risks.
IOW You will be on your own. Don't expect any help from city facilities. Texas can't keep the electricity on, unless they charge exorbitant prices for it, and then they have all the electricity you want. Same reason you can't have solar in Texas... because it's free after installation. Ain't fascism wonderful?
If these models are so accurate, why have we passed so many end of the world deadlines about climate change in the 5 decades? Go back and look at some of the old newspapers. And if the models are so accurate, why is there so much disagreement between the scientists that have the super duper "consensus". It might be real, but I wouldn't trust the data from anybody that benefits from promoting the idea.
Because there aren’t any deadlines. There have never been. Mathematical models are updated regularly with the latest measurements and new forecasts are produced. The models are judged by how well they reproduce historical data. Every parameter used in the models has a range of uncertainty. The resulting forecasts have a range of outcomes and associated probability. We can then see highly unlikely, middle, and very likely scenarios. Based on these scenarios, we can make an assessment of how much increase in global temperatures we may see in 20-50-100 years etc.
lol! It’s driven by the sun! We at most add less than 6% to the impact on the environment. If you break it down to CO2, it’s around 10% max of the .04% of CO2 in the atmosphere.
The Biden Crime Family and Traitor Austin are a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT TO THE UNITED STATES AND THE MEMORIES OF D-DAY. They are two of the BIGGEST DISGRACES IN WORLD HISTORY and to the HONOR OF EVERY AMERICAN TO SERVE IN THE MILITARY IN THE PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE.
Texas won't even be a state by 2036. Texas is quickly becoming uninhabitable for humans. Texas will be one of the first states in the USA to become uninhabitable to humans due to abrupt climate change....by 2028. Maybe sooner.
Yeahh all they need to do is look at climate cycles. Temps rise and fall over hundreds of years span regardless of human activity. Saying that is driven by green houses gasses(CO2) is false, human activity cannot affect the climate, it is the sun that affects it. And without CO2 there is no oxygen, CO2 does not stay in the atmosphere forever because it is used by plant life and algae to generate oxygen!
Why does the sign have purple paint all over it and the grass looking like it hasn’t been manicured in ages. Explains why everything else is run down. No sense of pride.
@@ribeye1062 You have to look at the long term trend. The past 12 months the world has been over 1.5ºC hotter than preindustrial times. It's not a political thing, it's just data.
@@jackiepaper101 nothing they’re saying is true. In fact, SCOTUS already ruled on this. The media and NASA are peddling a WEF/UN agenda. Which is illegal in the US.
This guy sounds like he’s high, and he has another climate model, like every other so called climate scientist, none of which have ever been correct. Why in the world would anyone listen to this nut? There are plenty of physicists who have studied not only climate, but the activity of the sun, the earths rotation and its varying orbit and tilt off axis, who would disagree with him. He needs to produce a peer reviewed white paper that is published before he will ever have any credibility.
Wow, if she has completed college, you guys have no reason to hold back her college transcript. The government is paid for every cent of her tuition so now you’re saying you’re not gonna forgive her to Wishon if she can’t get a job because you guys refuse to give her the transcript that she needs to either wanna go to another college to finish your education that the governments been paying for or because she spoke up, no one held the politicians for Spons ability when they attack the capital we’ve had to deal with listening to whiny Donald Trump since 2016 and 2020 how Justy is because he broke the law speaking up and your beliefs on your beliefs. It’s not illegal. Freedom of speech is not illegal. Give a child a transcript back or return her money. The government paid, and I forgive her debt.
