Good job to get it finished - a friend did the 100 and the second day was brutal weather! Very tough course indeed, one of the hardest in the UK maybe?
Looks like great running weather. Well done Paul. Interesting countryside but I'll bet you would have appreciated a few less hills. I really enjoy your posts. All the best, Phil from Sydney.
@@philipklink5406 - Hi Phil. The hills actually made the race so good. We like to complain about them, but it feels so good to get to the top and see the views. Hope it’s not too warm to run in Sydney
@@PaulCoatesTrailRunning Good to hear from you Paul. We had temps around 30C for the last 3 days of winter. I think that we're heading for a hot windy summer. Not good conditions for bush fires. Always able to fit a run in though.
@@conradburdekin722 - it’s a good race to do. Steady build up. Expect it to be hot and be ready for quite a bit of walking during the night. Superb finish though
Well done Paul, nice to see you again. Sadly a DNF for me. A big tumble at about 7km in the field with the flat long grass. Put my foot into a hole under the grass. Hurt my wrist and knee, hung on until CP2 but the swelling had gotten painful. Decided to pull out and save myself for Serpent Trail 100km.
