Meet the Chatters family. They can't get enough of the outdoors. Watch as they go on many adventures including: hunting, fishing, and outdoor harvesting in pursuit of a meal. Videos include the chase, harvest, cleaning, and cooking of wild game. Most videos are based in Arizona (antelope, bear, mule deer, coues deer, elk, javelina, bass, trout, catfish, stripers, perch, and crappie) with the occasional long-distance trip outside of Arizona.

That lake used to be one of the top Trout lakes in northern Az. The bass and weeds did them in 😢but it’s still a special place in my family memories

We usually just buy them from Walmart or a gas station, but around here you can find them once the monsoon starts in July - Sept.

Those money clip style spinners like super dupers do great. I prefer the Jake’s brand. They make a wider model that I like more. I’ve caught some monster rainbow and lakers on that black and yellow ones, and the white and red ones. Good video guys. Thanks for sharing
@HuntGatherChatters
@HuntGatherChatters 3 месяца назад
Yeah, you can cast the Jakes farther due to the extra weight.

I just love grubs. Some of the things I like about them are, they work on pretty much every species of fish, you can fish it in almost every way, lots of people don’t throw them so fish are typically not used to seeing them. And they are usually pretty dang cheap. White and black are my favourite colours, but I keep a bit of everything colour wise. I’ve caught little sun fish up to 22 lb cats and everything in between on them. Probably caught 20 different fish species on grubs. Thanks for making this video. I just subscribed because of it.

I'm glad to meet another savvy angler that knows about grubs. They're cheap so you can fish close to structure and use them for top, mid or on the bottom. Thanks for subscribing!

Rouge River Gorge is located in "Union Creek" Crater Lake Hwy also known as Hwy 62. "PLEAE KEEP CHILDREN CLOSE TO YOU" Very Dangerous place. People have drowned here. Shoulder parking only. You can see it from the road if you are not driving fast through Rouge River Wilderness

Great video. What month does the fishing slow down for the summer at these lakes? I'm assuming that spring is sort of peak time.
@HuntGatherChatters
@HuntGatherChatters 3 месяца назад
Trout is best mid-April to mid-June. Bass is best the whole month of June. Both can be caught through out the summer but the last half of summer, mornings are best.

Hey, how do you guys work the grub?
@HuntGatherChatters
@HuntGatherChatters 3 месяца назад
We usually cast close to the bank and then work them out at a medium retrieve, just fast enough to get the tail to wiggle.

The best months are May and June. In May, inflated nightcrawlers off the bottom are great or green powerbait. Silver spoons 1/4 oz. are also great. The East or West sides are best, not the extreme shallow North or South ends.

You need to get down there. There is good corvina and pompano fishing from shore . You can also hire out to do a day trip for around $60.
