i have the same problem. just a shadow in the left corner but still working. the issue is the OEM is 4k UHD (3840×2160) and the replacement is FHD. mine has touch , doesn't have the bezel..

You didn’t show how to move the ink cartridge container to the left to get the old cartridges in or out! That’s what I can’t do.

To answer the many questions, yes you can replace the regular screen with a FHD screen. If you want the Touch screen one you have to buy it with the bezel or panel too.

I tried to change the screen in a Precision 3550 and the new/replacement one didn't come back up and so I put the old cracked one back in and that didn't work anymore either. I think Dell is putting something in the BIOS on these things to detect hardware changes and go into limp mode. it stopped posting after I did the swap. oh well.
