I have always wanted to tune my somewhat new gti. “Voiding” warranty and them not covering a bad engine fail has always scared me from tuning it. Thank you for this video
I checked out Todd's truck and while its amazing how much power it puts down and how fast it is, the thing that isn't mentioned here is how smooth it is on that 10 speed with the TCM tune. Every shift is butter - absolutely fantastic to drive and it sounds incredible too. Its honestly a bit deceiving because the power delivery is so smooth there are no violent shifts (think gen 1 6-speed) and it almost doesn't "feel" fast on the butt dyno as a result. It blows away my stock raptor with a basic COBB stage 1 tune.
Sounded like you hit a hard cut limiter on one of those pulls? Is this something you are adding to the tunes now because mine just fuel cuts at redline
If people can actually be realistic when it comes to thrashing OEM vehicles around and adjust accordingly then the Raptors and TRX etc can be pretty fun vehicles. I roll my eyes out of their damn sockets when I hear people bash them as not hardcore off-roaders. They are the best off vehicles produced for the public by large Manufacturers in the history of human events. You just have to have an understanding of what they are realistically capable of, and what’s constitutes excessive. In todays hyper sissy environment. Where any hint of danger or risk has been fastidiously measured and minimized, where testosterone is quickly becoming somewhat of a rarity. When 25 year old male “kids” hop and dance around like 5 year old girls thinking it’s cool. Every collge age male student looks and is shaped like a #2 pencil. I am absolutely amazed the Raptor exists at all. We should thank our lucky stars and send a thank you card up to heaven for Jesus himself there are at least a few sets of big balls left in the auto industry.
@@GODZLLA_ST good talking to you today! Just to follow up here in case anyone else has other questions, I use a linked dyno, so usually no issues. If it does kick traction control, then I use normal mode.
I'd recommend you give COBB a call and ask COBB any questions you have relating to their business. I don't work for COBB. I see COBB making new products supporting new platforms. I'd say COBB is doing great!
@goosetuned7343 Ok, I will do that. I just figured since you handle their product that you might have had some information on how the EPA going after Cobb would affect your tuning business. I wish all government agencies would keep their noses out of the citizens businesses.

@@goosetuned7343 not many are running stock transmissions etc at 650-750hp at the crank… rest assured you will shred most of the stock drivetrain parts at that level of power..
