I grew up in the recession of the 70's and 80's, by parents who had parents who went through the Depression. My folks had fixed paychecks, there was no extra at the end. We were encouraged to limit how much jam we put on our toast, limit how much water we used, limit our light usage. We were encouraged to save our pennies. Money was always small/lack and discussion of making a lot more money never occurred. Being wealthy was never a choice. My bank account as an adult seems to always be near empty, I have been wondering for years if it's because "there is no extra" is what is guiding me? Like my account needs to be empty to keep the beliefs I was taught as a kid. My mindset over the past few months is to grow my business and shake off the "I don't have any money" belief that's been guiding me for 50 years. I took a business building challenge class this past week and I'm ready to take steps to double my income by the end of this year. During this meditation, I saw ancestors who were thieves, ancestors who never had any extra. It's been in my generations going back very far. Way back to my European ancestors who came to the US in the 1800's, and before that. I explain to them that it's ok to have lots of money :) So many of them give their agreement to let go of the 'lack and poor person' dna attachment, they are happy for me to move forward and out of this thinking.
