Really beautiful books again. Thanks for sharing :) In the summary at the beginning, Broken Binding is talking about "Added extras" in Tier 1. Do you know what they mean with that?
This one came from Illumicrate. I have a subscription with them. This was a pre-order. When you're a subscriber you get early access to purchase books from them. Sometimes they have more copies than are needed for their subscribers and sometimes not. I'm not sure if they have a wait list to subscribe at the moment.
They always have some left in case they need to replace damaged copies. Be on the lookout for an announcement from them and you may be able to snag a set! I just finished reading this book and it was excellent. I'm glad to have such a beautiful copy of it.
I think the books for this set look amazing! However, if I was to pick one little thing to gripe about, it would be that there is no foiling anywhere. Maybe the title on the dust jacket or the stars on the end pages would have been nice. I just really love foiling. Lol I had to give up my tier 2 sub for the Sci-Fi sub because of shipping costs to the US, and so far no regrets!
Great informative video, I have been wearing The Upstep custom orthotics for about 2 years now.. And, my ankles, knees & lower back still hurt me.. I have flat feet, so do you know if these insoles are designed to help with flat feet?
This is what their site says: "Our insoles have a firmer material in the arch region to provide additional support. If you’re looking for support that isn’t too aggressive for flat feet then these should be able to help you. Our material will form to your feet while giving extra stability, especially in the arch region. Being that you’re using them for flat feet, they may take a few days to adjust to as you may feel increased pressure in the arch region." I can only speak to how well these worked for me but I don't have flat feet. However, one of the advantages of these insoles is that they're designed to slowly mold to your foot. They may work well for flat feet but I can't personally tell you that based on experience.
This is by far the best subscription I have. They are planning a Sci-Fi sub coming up and I think I'm going to cancel one of my other subscriptions and sign up for that one. Their book choices are so good.
Not that I know of. Occasionally one of the subscriptions will have a 2-book month and the 2nd book will be a paperback but that's rare. Since I have book-only subscriptions I never get the 2nd book in the months they include a 2nd one anyway. Only the full box subscribers get the extra book.
Thank you for your video! I'm new to the goalie world with a 10u goalie, and I've been looking into bags to fit his equipment that aren't tower bags. Do you think there'd be a way to attach the leg pads to the outside with a bungee type system assuming they were creative enough?
Probably. The carry straps on top velcro together and this may allow for something to be rigged up. It may also be possible to rig something using the pull handle once it's extended. Or maybe both. I think a few companies make leg pad bags also. I use a pad-carrying strap from a company called Halo Hockey which I recommend. I carry my leg pads on my shoulder while I pull the bag and this works well for me. I recommend every Halo Hockey product. Excellent quality!
I love this bag! I've had a few people comment on how cool it is. It's holding up very well and I'm glad I made this purchase. It was worth every penny.
There are no illustrations and I have no idea if Holly Black has done a graphic novel for this series. I would assume she hasn't because this series is so popular it would be widely talked about.
Hey! My wrist is 6.9 inches and i just ordered 5 singles in the size of medium, but I am worried that I ordered the wrong size. I want them to be a perfect fit and not slide up and down, so can you please tell me what size should I get based on your experience? Thank you very much.
A small might be slightly snug and a medium slightly loose. It seems like you're exactly between the two sizes. I will be curious to see how you like the fir on the mediums you ordered.@@eightchtee
@@grimkeeper35 I actually sent Zox an email asking for replacement of the sizes to small. Anyway, wether they come Medium or small, I will make sure to let you know how they fit my wrist.
How long have you been a subscriber? I signed up 1.5 years or more ago and finally got tier 2 sub now that they changed it. Idk if I'll ever reach tier 1
I missed the First Law Trilogy so I guess I got in about 4 months after it started. My subscription began with The Winnowing Flame Trilogy. Before they added a Tier 2 subscription the wait list was measured in years, not months but I have no idea if adding the 2nd tier has shortened the wait or not.
@grimkeeper35 yea when I got in the wait list there was no tier 2, probably been 1.5 years. Last I asked thwy had no idea on time frame because they hadn't got it figured out after tier 2
I own a Kova also and it's even more protective than the Passau. The Passau is softer and more flexible and the Kova is stiffer and harder. I completely trust both to protect me. I would say the Kova is more protective but the Passau is easier to care for because you can just put it in a laundry bag and into the washing machine. I'm not sure I would do that with the Kova.
agree with you on the digital signature not really being a signature. that was annoying me on some of the book box's that the signature wasn't really real. (love your unboxings.) makes me miss some of the old box subscriptions that had the signature on the book but it not be a special edition.
Part of me feels bad about complaining about a digital signature since they put a lot of work into making these books special but it still cheapens them somehow. If they can't get it signed then just don't get it signed. The whole digital thing feels like they're slowly grooming everyone to accept a lower standard and that stinks.
Lame. It makes no sense to do that. They should either have it signed or not. If something doesn't change with this soon I may get on the waitlist for Goldsboro GSFF and switch to that.
@@grimkeeper35 I was curious, I have a book ordered from brokenbinding that will release next month. How long does delivery usually take after the book gets shipped?
What I noticed with these books , is if you compare the Priory of the Orange tree 2019 original version to the broken Bindong ones , the 2019 version is way thicker than the broken binding edition
@@grimkeeper35 I checked with the original a day of the fallen night at my local Waterstones today and that too was a lot thicker than the Broken Binding version, , I do not know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, I suspect that it might have been a cost-cutting thing, on the broken bindings part, as posting two books of this size would be very costly especially given that many people worldwide could be very well ordering these books ...again alot of people have been disappointed that the biding on these special additions appears glued and not sewn, but I suspect if they had been sewn they would be alot more money
@@grimkeeper35 Well I would imagine that any quality control issues would be with the publisher, as they are the ones that print the books after all , I have asked a direct quest to the TBB , to see what they say
These editions are from their Tier 1 subscription. You would have to get on the waitlist but from what I've heard their waitlist is measured in years not months.
I've tried a bunch of different brands but kept coming back to Footprint insoles. Which did egg drop and bowling ball drop videos long before anyone else I've seen. Only reason I'm planning to check out Z-Liners is they look really thin. Which is a necessity for dress shoes that don't have as much instep clearance as sneakers.
I have a lot of bookshelves! 3 big ones in my bedroom plus 2 smaller ones in my office. My collection isn't increasing much since I've started selling a lot of my books.
