I think about this scene all the time, this movie doesn't get enough credit, it is unfortunately (and rightly) outshined by how good Iron Man 1 and Cap America 1 are.
The second one wasn’t a comedy he 3rd had comedy but was still a classic the last one trash but the one that’s coming next Chris Hemsworth made sure it’s back to serious so your mad
Thor is a good fighter, but may not be a good leader. - he leads a small team into Enemy's territory, declared war and put all his team mates in danger while he is the only fighter who might survive this fight~
A few things I wish more people knew: Loki wasn’t the god of mischief. He was the god of fire. His name was a homonym; it meant “beautiful liar.” He was ironically the son of Laufey, a frost giant. More people know Tom Hiddleston as “Loki” than all the people who sacrificed and gave tribute to the mythical god Loki put together. At its height, there were only a few tens of thousands of Northmen who followed the Eddas, which recorded the stories of Loki. In the Eddas, it is not clear which god, Odin or Thor, was the father, or if they were even the same god. Odin might have been a historical chieftain that traded with the Greeks. The futhark alphabet is based on the Greek alphabet, except the letters are angled, so they can be carved instead of written in ink. Odin was said to have created the futhark alphabet, and many scholars think his legends may be based on an actual historical figure.
*The real God Loki is actually much older than Odin. And Loki isn't Odins' son as depicted in comics and the movies. Odin isn't the most powerful nor the oldest of the Norse deities. Yes, they actually DO exist, but not how most of us humans would know them as. I'm an occultist of the dark arts who has knowledge of forces from beyond our understanding. In other words, I actively participate in Magick and energy manipulation.*
