Tuning is an overlooked feature of pin pointers. Here is a simplified video of how to do it. You Tube does not allow links, so use the RU-vid search bar to find this video. (Garrett Pro-pointer AT - most people DON'T know this!)

I use a old stainless steel car antenna about a foot long probe when I go park hunting it helps to not dig a lot.
