I have a question, when deacctivating the zombie lock, do we need to disconnect wires of zombie lock on the power board? I'm asking because the guy in this video said to disconnect the wires but he didn't do so, Therefore my confusion
we bought a house with this ghost gate fully installed. However the remotes were not there. Can we get replacement remotes and how do you program them if you do not have an existing remote?

is there a reason the pin code doesnt show up in the activity log ? whats the point in multiple pins if you cant tell specifically which one was used for access? not everyone is going to need to download the app for a unique key. thanks for any advice and i'm hoping there is a solution.
Hi Chuck, unfortunately there is no way to track the pin codes in the activity log. One of the benefits of having multiple pins is that you can delete pins if you no longer want a person to have access to your gate. As you suggested, I have watched SEVERAL of your online videos and they are CONFUSING! In trying to program a remote keypad, you mention Master Code? Primary pin code? Access pin ? NOT CLEAR? What is the difference and where do I find these? So far out of the box, I have NOTHING.
Installed gate less than a month ago with solar. Weather has been hot and sunny. Last two days in the morning the gate won't open like no power. We unhook gate and leave open then hook up in the afternoon. After hooking it back up it works fine?? None of battery lights are indicating trouble or low battery? Is it discharging overnight without sun?
@lindacandreva9594 it appears you may have low batteries or you may need a larger battery with more storage to keep up with the gate usage. Please try the Battery load test below: 1. Disconnect your charging source (your solar or AC wires) from the circuit board. 2. Measure battery voltage. a. If you have two batteries, check them individually. b. If the voltage(s) is above 12 Vdc, proceed with the load test. c. If the voltage(s) is below 12 Vdc, charge the batteries externally before proceeding. 3. The load test will only be conducted on one battery at a time. Measure the voltage prior to operation. Activate the unit while continuing to monitor the voltage. The voltage should drop less than .5 volt during the cycle. 4. Repeat for 4 more half cycles (open or close) pausing for approximately 10 seconds in between activations. The voltage should drop less than .5 volt during these movements. 5. If the voltage drops are greater than .5 a volt the battery/batteries should be replaced. Charging Circuit Test: Please note, in order to properly test the circuit, we need to start with battery(s) that are not currently low. (below 12Vdc). You may need to charge them externally prior to moving forward with this test. 1. Measure battery voltage If you have two batteries, check them individually. If the voltage(s) is above 12 Vdc, proceed with testing. If the voltage(s) is below 12 Vdc, charge the battery(s) externally before proceeding. 2. Measure the voltage on the battery with the charge source (The solar or AC wires) removed with the system on but not moving. 3. Restore charging source, the battery voltage should raise above the previous reading. This might require activating the unit to run once. If the charging source is solar, you must be in direct sunlight (panel must not be shaded by trees or the sun obstructed by clouds). 4. If the battery voltage reading is climbing (even a few .10 of a volt when the charging source is restored) the charging circuit is functional. If there is no change, check the transformer output or solar panel output. IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDE THAT WILL ALSO AFFECT BATTERY: * Are you using a Smart System? * Type of battery are you using ..Are you using a deep cycle marine battery? * How many times a day do you open and close your gate? The Coop Controls Coop Opener is plenty strong enough to keep predators out. You will need a support 2x4 when installing the opener since lots of coop doors are flimsy. Hi Wayne, the version 3 keypad has a green send button and 3 beeps. The version 2 keypad has a green send button and 2 beeps, and the version 1 keypad has a white send button.
What is the little round black piece that sits between where the wires come in to the box. My gate was not working at all, then I slightly twisted that and it started working again.
@adriangcnaz that is a strain relief. The gate opener wires or accessory wires go through the strain reliefs on the bottom of the control box to prevent water and other elements from getting in. You could have had a loose wire or your wire was too tight in the strain relief. If this happens again, I suggest opening the control panel and making sure all your wires are tightly connected into the terminals. There could be other possibilities causing the need to readjust your open and /or closed position but Temperature variations and other environmental factors that naturally occur may necessitate the need to readjust your limit. Wood expansion and contraction due to moisture level and the impact that it has on metal can cause it to expand and contract, this may necessitate an adjustment and/or hinge lubrication. Also, all hardware must be secure and not moving.
My gate closes and locks but immediately opens all the way back up. When trying to set new close limit it triggers the alarm and a constant beep goes until remote is pressed or board is turned off.
@@jacecoakley1679 it sounds like you might be setting your close limit to tight. Try to back off the close limit a little bit giving it a little more room for a soft stop and that should help it from doing this. Can I use a Zombie Lock and Vehicle Sensor? It looks like I would have to plug both of them into the + slot on the lock, I didn't know if that would be an issue?
How do you change access pin and keep the primary? My instructions only shows how to delete the access pin and does not describe how to change the access pin.
@wheresWaldoCmill to add an access code to your wireless keypad: press program button - enter 4 digit master code - press program button - press #2 press #2 - press program button - enter your 4 digit access code you want - press program! I have a Liftmaster LA 400 and I just replaced the batteries for the third time since I’ve had it. this time I continue to have a problem with this gate opener and I was hoping you might be able to put your finger on what the problem is. Today, when I went out to open the gate, I heard three beeps, and the gate would not move. I hit the reset button and still nothing. It was only when I pulled out the 20 amp fuse and put it back in that the gate would operate. But even then, when I pressed it a second time, I heard the three beeps and it wouldn’t operate until I pulled the fuse again. I replaced the fuse but it still does it. I put a multimeter on the transformer and it goes up to 24 and then bounces around but 24 seems to be the full trickle charge. Any tips would be really appreciated
@crownmoldingbyspectaculart941 while this is the Ghost Controls youtube site and ghost controls control board we would recommend reaching out to LiftMaster but in the meantime maybe try checking your battery and making sure it is fully charged and load test your battery to make sure it is a good battery. If you ever decide to make a switch we would be happy to have you and make sure you get great service.
I've tried this several times, and it don't let the other work. The light blinks on the control panel inside, but it doesn't close the gate. I press the xmlr button and it switched control to the other one, but will not clone following the above instructions, which are very simple to follow.

Let me try this way instead of replying to the posts addressed to me. I re-wired all the connections with a crimping tool and ferrules for each wire in the main controller and the solar charge controller and properly sized eyelets for the connections to the battery. The original installation battery wiring was stripped about 2-3 inches and wrapped around the screw type lugs on the battery and tightened with a nut, no washers. I used the smallest ferrules that would fit the wires into the charge controller and main control unit after being stripped, twisted and trimmed to the correct length. The ferrule kit I used came from Amazon called 'VANOW Crimping Tool Set'. I purchased it for another project but it has since been used for other stuff.
I just installed a new circuit board for my single gate pull to open unit. I jogged gate to the closed position .. set button pressed .. gate works first time however about the time I walk away satisfied it is all working ... the gate opens about five feet ... five feet that lets my dog go off to the neighbors which is not positive ... I do not recall being able to set the gate for a pedestrian pass position - in fact I believe the instructions say do not ... why have ghosts invaded my Ghost gate opener?
Hello, thank you for your comment. Below I will be talking about how the software works in the circuit board. We recommend using a perimeter fence to ensure that your pet or pets are secured. Gate operators are for vehicular traffic only. The Ghost Controls circuit board does have an inherent soft start soft stop feature and built-in internal safeties. When the gate stop hits the adjacent post the gate operator would see it as an obstruction. An obstruction is when the unit's inherent safety (SafeForce) features are triggered. This occurs when the unit is slowed down too much or has to work too hard to reach its intended stopping point. This feature is built in and the gate would reverse and open back up partially if too much pressure is being exerted. We recoommed doing bi-yearly maintenance on your gate opener. Using a silicone spray, you can maintain/clean the silver aluminum push-pull tube (with the operator arm extended and the system turned off) , spray a clean cloth with the silicone and wipe the extended push-pull of the operator arm. Cleaning this part of the arm helps remove any dirt and debris that has accumulated over time and can help reduce premature wear and noise on the internal parts of the operator arm.

RESTORING YOUR KEYPAD BACK TO FACTORY DEFAULT for Keypad Version 1. 1) Remove one of the “C” batteries from the back of the keypad for 15 seconds 2) Reinstall the “C” battery and immediately press and release the program button 3 times 3) If successful, keypad will beep 3 long beeps followed by 2 short beeps 4) If unsuccessful, repeat the above steps. @@Ghostcontrols2015 My keypad will not reset no matter how many times I try this. When I put the battery back in it will only beep twice. All three lights come on the side. Please help reset to factory setting.
