There's a lot of unused potential in video games currently. Growing up in the 90's, It felt the future of gaming was going to be awesome. Gaming wasn't Hyper focused on graphics or using the same bland copy & paste game features. Gaming should be focused on satisfying physics effects, fun movement, rag doll effects, games utilizing creative art styles, games had a range of different gameplay modes to play. Creative and fun gameplay mechanics is so much more important compared to "Realism" In my opinion I don't care about 4k resolution or Ray traced reflections, COMPARED to having satisfying damage effects, interactive environments, breakable objects, the ability to climb or play using a stealth approach. These are just random examples. It's important a game has good enemy CPU behavior so you can have fun in single player modes, or have CPU bots in offline modes. Current video games have focused way too much on nitpicking the least important aspects and forgot what parts ACTUALLY make a good game GOOD. It seems they have forgotten how much players enjoy just being able to jump in and start having fun playing a game. It seems like a bunch of game genres have been completely forgotten about.. As well as certain Art styles & certain subject matters. Old school PS1 & N64 style graphics can work, if a creative design is used. I seriously don't know why gaming had to fall into this rut that we are in..? Also: {We have seen that even if companies delay games, it isn't improving the quality of games being released. Which is a sign there is a MUCH DEEPER issue going on with modern games. No excuses, devs used to make great games with much less and they would have given anything to have certain capabilities to utilize that are available today. It just takes actual passion, focus & talent to make great games. Sidenote: It's so crazy how many people are still supporting super mega rich companies putting out unacceptable products.. i don't understand certain people. I don't understand how certain companies can be messing up so badly. It's frustrating that other passionate people are not allowed to make a version of a type of game that we used to have but no longer get anymore.. Yet these huge companies get full control over if an unused game IP gets made & they do everything they can so no other versions of a game idea will ever come out. Even if there's a huge fan base around certain ideas and there's a ton of passionate devs out there dying to make a version of a certain video game idea.. that frustrates me beyond belief} Lately I've wished Game Dev's would leave big companies & group together to make their own passion projects. These big companies need their devs yet they take them for granted, they restrict their creativity. I'd like to see these giant corporations make games without game devs and only big wig higher ups. This is such a bad sequel/Ending to a great game (Botw) I wasted 6y to get the same game, with plot holes and filler collectables. If this game came out after 2y, I could forgive more, but they wasted 6 years on Gmod and goat people, instead of making a literal sequel to the game your making. This game feels like a master quest, a rehash of BOTW, not an ending to that story. It’s suppose to be a complete story, when it feels like two. Botw had depth. TOTK has “The Depths”
What I don't like is how Paper Mario "fan" just cannot accept any change that is make beyond PM2 And refuse to see what comes next as very good games by their own (minus stickers stars) with CS and OK being really really awesome and NOT Rpg. Peoples judge games for what they aren't and what they WANT it to be despite everything. And this is the real problem in my opinion.
Video games are becoming expensive to purchase for gamers and most of triple a games are not for gamers and they are taking longer to develop while indie games are cheaper to develop and actual gamers want to buy these indie games because they are meant for gamers not the morden audience
I think nintendo needs to have atleast one big game coming years away as a sort of hype driver. zelda did that, and metroid prime is currently doing that until switch 2. You need that big game people speculate about for years to come so having those big games help people not feel like the console is dead.
My guy completely skipped over Metroid Dread aka Metroid 6 A game that has been leaked in 2005 and which has been announced in the Official Nintendo Magazine in 2006 A sequel to the (then) 19 year old Metroid Fusion (Metroid 4). People unironically waited for that game 16 years And it became one of the highly regarded Metroid games to date
I hate how “leakers” keep saying that a nintendo direct or the switch 2 is coming on a certain date only for them to be wronged and act like it’s getting delayed. COUGH COUGH NIN10DOLAND
I have played all six games. All of the games have stuff to love about them, YES, EVEN STICKER STAR. - the og is great, it set a good foundation - ttyd while not quite living up to the hype imo, is also a great game - spm has the best story, and is my personal favorite - ss while being bad gameplay wise, has good visuals, and an amazing soundtrack. The gameplay ideas were good in theory, and were just botched. - cs is another one of my favorites, it fixed a majority of the issues ss had, and is absolutely hilarious - ok is my favorite modern pm game, tied with cs. Amazing story, good gameplay, and great humor. Those angry old people are the reason this fandom sucks. Learn to love things for what they are, stop complaining about it not being ttyd all over again.
We need more competition other than the existing companies we have already known about for the last 30 years. Google shutting down their entire gaming platform was a disaster. We want new platforms to find their own success in the market. Because that improves competition which means better prices and consumer friendly initiatives.

in every mario game that doesn't have yellow toad me and my friend fight over blue toad, and he doesn't drink drugs, nintendo would never do that like in super mario kart for snes they removed the peach and bowser drinking when they got 1st place, and the reason why blue toad is fast is because they had to replace SOMEONE with papa from doki doki panic when they turned it into smb2 and they just chose blue toad, and they carried over his traits from that game to sm3dw
