I can totally get why a gear head wouldn’t want an EV when they can’t customize it the same ways and don’t understand all the new components and most importantly, it carries no nostalgia. However I find it really silly when they start “bullying” EVs instead of just saying “They’re not my style”. I’m also convinced most of these guys have never sat in an EV while the driver goes from full stop to pedal on floor. Might not convince you to buy one but man oh man is that a fun experience, and I think would upgrade some opinions from “toaster oven” 😂
@@CubowaK speaking for myself going fast in a straight line is boring after two or three runs. I prefer excellent brakes and suspension to fly through corners.
Sorry but its just embarrassing sitting there whilst yr car battery charges. It looks so sad. Ive noticed something, no one will look you in the eye as they sat in a car park charging their car... they kniw everyone is laughing at them.
Remember Tesla lied about the range they would have Remember Tesla lied about Full self driving Remember Tesla Lied about parking finder Remember Tesla lied about the quality of material used Remember Tesla lied about every timeline they have ever made. Remember Tesla lied about the Cybertruck many times over. Remember Tesla lied about the Battery becoming better. Remember Tesla has lied about almost every single aspect of any car they have sold
@@50sense50 Yep he did but UK court tossed it out stating "no viewer of the show would be likely to reasonably compare the Roadster's performance on the show with its performance in the real world." That show and that episode most definitely solidified to a lot of petrol heads and TG watchers that Tesla and Electric vehicles in general are crap.
There silent with enough instant power to pull a house down. Companies have been trying to replicate them for ever he's just so stuck in what he knows change is hard. Ice cars won't disappear on the roads there will be 3 types of cars ice cars that use E-fuel & EV's that use E-fuel or batterys. Batterys being cheaper to run but more expensive to buy as they cut out the middle men at the pump
I’m saying that because motor trend is Top Gears number one sponsor… Valvoline Named the 'Official Motor Oil' of MotorTrend Group and Presenting Sponsor of the All-New TOP GEAR AMERICA It’s all scripted…..
Lol i went from spending 200-250 on gas a month to spending 20-60 for charging. The way you save with EVs is charging at home not by fast charging. Its also how you prolong the life of your battery. Even then i dont pay more than $15 per supercharge and takes 20-25min. I just go grocery shoppig while it charges and when im back, its done. People think they know a lot about EVs but its different when you own one. Imagine not having to go to a gas station ever just go home and plug in. Imagine not having to wonder what is wrong with your car cause it can only be 2 things, battery(s) or drive train and both are under warranty for 8yrs or 120k miles(Tesla). Imagine never having to pay for an oil change, and your breaks wearing really slowly because of regenerative breaking. Theyre certainly not for everyone but people should educate themselves more on the subject before acting like they know everything about it.
