I might yap about this on my community tab more (my username says it all lol) but it is not surprising that Yeonjun went in this direction for his solo debut. He’s always stated that he wants to do something hip-hop in the future and this is the concept that TXT in fact trained in. The fact people are shocked he went for this style both does and does not surprise me because look at the negative reception TXT got when Good Boy Gone Bad, the group’s most hip-hop like title track so far, was first released. I’ll say it for everyone in the back: TXT have always changed the concepts for their comebacks and never stuck to just one concept or genre either, that’s what makes their discography so diverse and the legacy will continue in their solo works too, depending on when the rest debuts solo. Yeonjun truly doesn’t deserve the hate GGUM is getting, but as I saw some say, that proves he truly is the 4th gen IT boy. Great video by the way 💞
This comment section scratches my brain in the right way. I love YJ's release! So happy with it and proud of him and the team behind it for all their work! From the styling, the album's design, the choreo, to the goddamn lyrics! I'm extremely eager to listen to the whole mixtape. Hopping it'll be just the same, but with a variety of sides of Yeonjun. Hopefully it'll get the recognition it's earned, but I don't doubt it. Yeonjun's fame is purely due to his consistent hardwork - same goes for txt. I don't have Twitter, my phone broke a few months ago and I just wasn't on it, even before so... So I'm only seeing bots hating in his comments... But yeah, weither you like the song of not, we can all recognize it's qualities. I think YJ slayed hard. My playlist agrees.
Became a K-pop fan during the 4th gen era, but I love this song on the first listen. It was different and fun and I can't wait for more of his future solo gigs.

they’re far more than being “just mean” and it’s not even about not linking the song anymore. their comments have come to straight up dehumanize and insult yeonjun in every way possible. a lot of them have said that if it were made by a nugu they would have eat it up or that they haven’t even listened to the song or don’t care but are just happy to hop on the hate train. it’s not a surprise tho. kpop fans have always had something against txt and yeonjun ever since debut and will take any opportunity to hate on him but it’s still shocking to see the extents they go to. in other news, i personally think the song shows yeonjun’s style perfectly :) i didn’t expect him to drop something vocal focused. because he’s more of a hiphop boy. he’s a chaotic sassy boy and i think the song represented his vibes <3
Yep. My initial impression of Ggum, was "what a bold choice for a debut track", b/c u know, it's v quirky. But a really fun dance track for a "main dancer", nope that's spot on. I ❤ it!!
I watched it in recess with my friend and omg... I had to hold back tears bc it's sooo good. Not bc I'm a TXT stan or bc I really like Yeonjun. But bc it's actually amazing. It took me by surprise too. I was really not expecting this but omg, this is way better than I had expected and gurl, I had high expectations
Not trying to gaslight any one! Don't know if you watched the video, but I'm addressing people, particularly on Twitter, who have turned not liking the song into personal attacks against Yeonjun or using it as an example of "how bad K-pop has gotten." I understand the song isn't for everyone, but people are taking the hating to an excessive level, starting fanwars, etc.

Ikr i saw a ton of tweets hating him for this comeback but honestly saying i liked the song on the first listen and it was stuck in my mind. This song is like made for yeonjun. Also i saw a lot of people saying that 'it does not sounds like a txt song' well it's a solo and i expected exactly this type of song coming outta yeonjun's pockets honestly i mean if you really waited for a sad and soft song just wait for taehyun or beomgyu's solo because yeonjun's voice identity absolutely slayys in this type of song. Ohh the dance moves are a bit umm.....okay but let him atleast experiment while he's at it. He, well probably already got the response though.
We all know the hate is mainly because it's Yeonjun and they would hate on him whatever he does . So far They called him ( " fat , ugly , pig , deformed , bad dancer , dramatic, fake , talentless ") guess when you are the best of the best it's inevitable to get so much hate .
You know for a first time solo for him, this is really a great start. Real fans know that this song screams of Yeonjun. Whether you like it or not THIS IS YJ. The fact that he participated in almost all of making this (lyrics, beat, choreo, etc.) without the big names of Bighit producers like Slow Rabbit, bodes really well for him as an artist and I hope that he'll produce a bigger banger in the future. Everybody has different tastes but still, thank you for giving it a shot❤
I don't know why my other comment was not posted so I am just repeating all I said I love TXT songs even though I don't really follow them. I like Yeonjun the most. Saw the snippet of the song on TikTok and thought it's good and catchy and great. Not until I heard the full song 😢 Maybe it's just meant to be a dance song. The vocals is not it. There's no catchy parts which you can actually sing along. It was disappointing but yeah everyone has their own opinion
I don't follow TXT but I like Yeonjun the most and I love most of TXT songs. I also am hyped after seeing a snippet of this song on TikTok..And then I saw the mv and heard the full song. The MV of course was great if we're talking about visually since Yeonjun is there of course but the song😢 Maybe it's more of a dance song I guess.
Can you imagine what moas had to go through in twitter? there were sooo many tweets with thousands of likes hating on it including being straight up racists, dehumanized him, s3xua1ized him and many other disgusting posts! We noted down all fandoms that joined in this hate train and we will never forgive them. we got receipts ready

@@tubaturules did you report this to Bighit labels? Because I'm a Moa and they sent us all a new message to report these vicious posts to Bighit so they can take legal action against them. They are finally stepping up to protect TXT and Junnie, the hate they get for no reason is insane. This has been out of control since debut, if you don't like the music don't listen to them and watch your favs. It really saddened me so many fandoms I thought were nice people joined in. 😢
Junie is a fun guy so I just love this. It's his diss track korean style. You have to listen to the double meaning in the lyrics. Glad the antis and haters are enjoying it.😊 He is the main dancer in TXT if they had positions. If people want to hear Junies beautiful vocals go listen to lonely boy acapella by TXT. ❤

I'm new to kpop and haven't really heard anything from TXT other than Runaway (which is a banger) and I just went and listened to the song because of this video and OMG I WAS SO SHOCKED it's so fun!! I honestly wish there was even more variety within the song, it feels too short!! I'm not familiar with earlier kpop generations, but it definitely felt like a breath of fresh air! I love when people explore different niches in kpop and I think it's good to have that variety. It's ok if people don't like things, but squashing new and creative sounds is only going to cause the industry to stagnate. Love your down to earth take on this, and remember that twitter isn't representative of most people irl. Much love! <3
