I am in my early 60's and I love watching all things beauty on RU-vid, but there is not so much content for “mature ladies” (or men) so this channel is especially for you guys.
When turned 50 I found my self-esteem and self-confidence were beginning to lag. I also found myself becoming invisible when I was in public. I decided to create a web site heyspringchicken.com a RU-vid channel (of the same name) & Pinterest, where I could help (not just myself) but hopefully enable all women especially those over 50 and 60 to feel as good and as healthy as they can. This technology is new to me but I feel that learning new skills and by sharing what I have learnt will help me and you in the longer term. Using my previous background in Beauty we will review beauty products, film tutorials and all things beauty. 💄🥰
I have been using CO on my OA knee for a week after I injured it. Also on my Achilles tendon. So far I don’t notice much improvement. However, I use it on my face and nail beds every night and definitely have seen an improvement as far as softness goes. I’ll keep going
👍 keep going, with my knee I have noticed my mobility greatly improved, although the pain is still a constant. I ought to try on my nail beds as mine are pretty awful (years of silicone nails in the 90’s) 🥹
Thanks, I'm 76 and still have great skin on my face and neck thankfully because i never smoked and don't drink alcohol that much anymore, hardly ever and eat a mostly organic pescatarian diet but with a little lean chicken. I only drink pure mountain spring water and herbal, black and green teas and have used moisturizers ever since my 20s and have protected myself from the sun since I'm a Brit-American with fair English skin. But I'm blind in one eye now and it's harder to put eye makeup on now and the mascaras don't seem to stay on my pale thin eyelashes like it used to do. I never liked false eyelashes and have always loved a natural look! I never had an easy time putting on eyeliner ever. Any tips for getting mascara to go on easier and stay on would be much appreciated. Eye brows are thinner and lighter now as well, I also switched from powder eyeshadows now to cream pencil shadows which I like better. No racoon eyes for me either! lol 💗🚰👁🍉🍎🥑🫖🐟🍷😎
Oh my word, that could have been me saying all that, (although I’m a Brit Brit 🙂) I too am blind in one eye and have found that it’s getting increasingly harder to apply mascara I have done quite a few vids where I acknowledge my love hate relationship. I have found a Tubing Mascara which stays put (Boots chemist) watch sat 26/10 it’s addressing our problems 🥰💄🤗

although one advantage of our sun is the quality, availability and low price of fresh veggies and fruits. and the diversity.. I was shocked to see how sometimes good quality cheese or sausage can be cheaper than basic fresh vegetables.
Hi. I used the oil it was really lovely but sadly I had a moment and dropped the botllevon the bathroom floor and lost half. Soooo sad. But the lovely bottle didn't break, so excellent packaging. It had a nice effect on the skin and smelt lovely.
I have so looked forward to uploading this film, its not often I get to trial skincare specifically for 60+ skin. 👏So what did I think? Actually what do you think? x
I am surprise by Castor oil ! After two weeks of using it night time right after the shower, I notice less visible stretch marks and cellulite on my legs. And yes, I'll continued to use it. If this oil could returned my skin as used to be.....
How many milliliters of castor oil should I take everyday? 1 table spoonful? Is organic cold pressed castor oil ok? Coz we dont have that brand that you use here in my country and its pretty much expensive if i order that.
Try mixing it with coconut oil for a more even spread, and if your going to use it in your hair add coconut oil or you will have a tough time rinsing it out.
It no longer suits me on my under eye waterline, however I do have eyeliner Tatoo which is a super time saver and I don’t have to rely on my shaky hands 🫣

I have to say your skin looked gorgeous Cordelia..but it is gorgeous to start with. Have you tried ordering Korean skincare from YesStyle..they deliver relatively quickly...at least they do here in Australia.

First off you are overly dramatic and secondly you are lying saying you don't have on any make-up. You can clearly see you have on liner and mascara and looks like your brows are also filled in.
Overly dramatic who me,😉well spotted with the eyebrows and eyeliner, I have semi perm make up (tattoos) I talk about it often even filmed the process (painful but a huge time saver and as you’ve noted looks real🙂 but no I am not wearing any mascara, the purpose of the video was to show how using eyeliner on or just above the waterline can create dramatic effect, no tattoo there. I have learnt a lesson I should have mentioned the tattoo. But my intention is not to fool but to help women in their 50s and beyond look as good as they can 🥰
Tubing Mascara is a really clever way of providing individual tubes on each lash, doesn’t smudge or flake, been around for about 2 years. I have done a film about it 👍 I was not wearing any make up, (my eye lids are actually permanently dark due to surgery 14 years ago🥹I do however have eyeliner tattoos, I talk about it often and apologies for not mentioning, I have in fact made a film of the procedure (painful but worth it)
I’m not wearing eyeliner but I have got semi perm eyeliner , I talk about it often and even filmed me having it done, painful, but really worth it as it’s a time saving God and eyeline perfection every morning which doesn’t involve my shaky hand, but not the waterline , which is what we were talking about today 🤗

Wonder if a little translucent powder would reduce the shine a little for me - love trying new products, probably too much 😁. but recently found out I was allergic to hyaluronic acid which has been a nuisance for my sensitive skin - My daughter has tried to introduce me to snail gel 😳 but a step too far for this 60 year old lol. Just watched your video which is superb.Will definitely get some castor oil and apply.My previous treatments for my neck,face and decolletage is a mixture of full fat organic natural yoghurt, a slug of vegetable glycerine,local honey and a couple of drops of lavender oil. Mix well, apply with a brush and leave for 20 mins then remove with a hot muslin cloth and follow with usual skincare x

My skin was oily and I use the castor oil at night all over my face. I don’t use a carrier oil and it does absorb in, but I also do one of my serums before that and let it sink in first before I put the castor oil on and I just don’t saturate my face to the point that it’s super greasy, but I do but it is shiny, but it goes in pretty quick and I’m I’m really shiny but it absorbs pretty well.
I use castor oil everyday in multiple lotions. I add to my hand lotion and face creams. I apply it to my eyelids before bed and when I get up. Castor oil absorbs in the first hour, you can wipe it off. My eyelashes are thickening and appear little longer. Another way is with a pack, applying for an hour helps relieve pain, has even been found to remove bone spurs, it takes consistency and about 3 to 4 months. Wonderful oil!
