I would like to take you with me on my journey! I will be making content all about cars and anything automotive. How to videos to help people.😀 Please come along and share the experience, don’t be afraid to reach out and say hi.
Thanks forvtjoa gteat video. Im thinking to buy a skoda octsvia scout 2.0 TDI DSG7 from 2017 with 100.000 Km. What do you think, anf what things is necessaary to check very well. Thsbks again
Hey 👋 it really depends on the fault, which you will only find out when you strip it all down, so it could be a blown head gasket that could be around 2000 to repair or if the engine is bad and needs to replaced a new engine will be about 6000, so best to get it diagnosed before guessing 👍
@MrAutoFixer I've just bought an ST-3 for 4k and they did very well at hiding the issue with the coolant when I viewed it and drove away. I'm pretty sure this is the issue with it as I don't have a visible leak and coolant is disappearing. I don't have 2 to 6k spare.
@matthewgodfrey5292 oh dear that’s not a good situation to be in, I take it it was a private seller ? I think you should get it diagnosed first before fearing the worst as there are many things to check I’ve even had some before that was just a coolant tank cap leaking out when hot and no signs of leaking at all. So get it checked first 👍
@matthewgodfrey5292 Yh I would be too mate, it’s always easy to assume the worst! Fingers crossed it’s something simple and easy to fix for ya, keep me posted 👌
Brilliant thank you, but for my 2019 Captur you had to do it by putting the key in but NOT starting the ignition or the Intervals option doesn’t come up :)
This is happening to my 2011 mk3 Focus. Local garage couldn't see any leaks so I'm suspecting it is this issue. Full strip down etc may just cost too much for my car. Thanks for the vid.
I see it checked the brake module. Does it allow you to see ABS faults etc? It would’ve been nice to see the live feature shown. Will it allow me to see wheel speeds at wheel speed sensors and the like? Only asking as a lot of the cheap handheld OBD II monitors only allow for the engine fault codes to be scanned and cleared.
Hi this can do lots of functions for a full list of what it can do you can check their website. I will feature it in some upcoming videos too, it does have live data and will show you any faults in any system it reads👍
Hi. I subbed today after watching the video on the Fiat 500 lower arm replacement. I've been looking for an OBD2 scanner, but don't want to spend a fortune. Do you know if this will allow you to code a new battery for a VW Touareg? I recently had to change the battery, and had to find a garage to do the coding, which added another £80 to the cost! If this will allow me to do that, I've also got to replace the headlight, and that apparently needs coding in as well?! 🤷🏻♂️ Cheers. Rob
@roblowrie1969 hi 👋 i’m not sure exactly of all the capabilities of this CarPal as I’ve only plugged it into certain vehicle so far but I know if you go on the website you can look up more specific things or failing that give their support team a quick email and ask they should be able to tell you but yeah for the money it’s a great little bit of kit and can do so many things hopefully it can help you out too👍
Hi, I have Ford Focus 2018, The mechanic and I didn't understand the problem. Please help me Last week I realized that there was no engine water. I went and bought an antifreeze water and filled it up. I drove 2-3 hours that day and parked it. When I came back 1 hour later, I saw that the bottom of the car was wet and the bottom of the water tank was wet. The water tank was %100 empty. The next day I went to the mechanic, the water tank had already been replaced 1 year ago so this time, the water pump and thermostat were replaced by a mechanic. There was no anormal heating on the gauge anytime but the water is still draining. It doesn't happen every time, but there is quite a lot of water coming out of the back of the tank. It is not about slowly leaking, the water tank can be empty in a couple of minutes after I turn off the engine. Not every time but once in 2-3 times after I drive and turned off.
I m just Worried with this Extensive Engine Work The Engine will never be the same again 🤷🤦 It's almost like a Full Engine rebuild🤔 . 99% Mechanics can dismantle a Engine however not all can put it back Exactly the way it was 🤔🙄😊
@@MrAutoFixer I m part of peugeot forum and there's Owners reporting after 1500 miles after they change the Cambelt engine expericed issues and error messages came I mean not everyone is a experienced Mechanic and able to put Things back 100% how it was
@@niceboy60 if it’s 1500 miles after the job is done then the faults are more than likely nothing to do with that job, if the job was not done correctly you would see most faults right away, my best advice is go to a reputable garage and have the work done. 👍
@@MrAutoFixer 1500 miles for some people Is a single Week of driving it's not sustainable or financially viable after paying 600 Euros to replace a belt experiencing engine problems on the following week personally I can't complain I only have my car for 2 weeks
@niceboy60 that’s true, it all depends on what engine problems, I’ve not heard of any issues after having the belt done as long as it’s done properly you should be all good, hence why I say find a decent garage for the work. Remember if it’s a cheap job you’re gonna get what you pay for.
Yh not a hard job and should be too expensive, if your being over charged you should get a few quotes before hand so you can get a good idea of the right price 👍
@@MrAutoFixer it's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic now day's and most are so expensive just for comparison an average gp doctor gets £35 per hour but a mechanic average hour is over £50
Door handle was a little stiff after anything that could cause this, could it bet that the metal rod is bent? Cheers for the video tho misses is chuffed
What parts did you use? Was it eBay or genuine parts ? Cos some of the eBay parts can be a little off and feel a bit rougher if that makes sense, I’m sure it will loosen up after a few uses 👍
Just wanted to say I found your channel earlier because I needed to do the brakes on my transit connect and stumbled across one of your old videos. I’ve spent more time today on RU-vid watching your other videos than getting any work done 😂 Keep up the work on the channel mate, very interesting content and gained a sub!
i know you have to stay neutral with these jobs and have to keep your personal opinions Quiet, but for me and many others, what an Absolute Terrible idea for an engine, who in the world thought it was a good idea to run a rubber belt through oil.. My brother has a 2020 Peugeot 208 with the Pure-Scrap 1.2 engine, his destroyed itself after 30 odd thousand miles, Peugeot had to replace the engine, soon as he got it back i told him he needs to get rid of that car, he took it to a couple of places to get a value on it, but both places said they wouldn't even offer him anything for it, they told him they don't buy or trade any car with that engine in because it's too high risk.
Hey 👋 yes I’m hearing this a lot now, there are many places that won’t buy them or sell them as they end up costing too much to repair! It is a bad design and I hope they sort it out soon !!!
@@MrAutoFixer it's such a shame as well because his 208 is a lovely car, i've been in it and it's really nice and comfortable, the engine is nice and responsive, but he said he can't risk keeping it with that engine in. i told him to fit a Suzuki Hayabusa Engine in and have done with it lol..
1.9 tdi seat altea . 80k low miles for year . Timming belt was done at 55k but that was just over 5 years ago . Should i get it done again ? Smashing wee car want to keep it for run about only does about 3k a year . Thanks for any info.
Hey 👋 yes I always recommend getting a water pump done at the same time while you are in there as they won’t add too much onto the overall cost and it’s best to have it all done then you know it’s good 👍
Hi, i have the same car (2013 polo) do you know if the front hub nuts are the same size as i need to purchase the socket before i strip it down, thanks 👍🏼
Hi 👋 I can’t remember off the top of my head, best thing to do would be to pop the wheel off and look or pop the centre cap off if it has one and you will be able to see it, I think it might be a 27mm socket actually 👍
Hello. I have a Peugeot 207 and has done nearly 40k miles. I have the same problem, I’m having to top up my coolant at least twice a week. I know this is not normal. My mechanic says it’s normal in some cars, but I disagree. No signs of any leaks. What should I do?
It’s not normal at all to loose any coolant. First thing I would do is carry out a pressure test and leave it under pressure for a while and then inspect the cooling system for leaks. I would also advise you find a new mechanic too 👍
You took the bloody borescope out of the cylinder to fast you 😂 . Does this o shade tree mechic southern dude from Alabama have to show you all how to do something on a POS. 😂 I n joy ur content.
Such a shame as when running well these engines are great. Very frugal on fuel. I suppose this procedure will become second nature for most mechanics as there are so many of these engines out there, and they are still selling them in new cars!
Yh that’s right when running good they are ok ! But such a bad design really, they are all now reaching the age where they need replacing so will become common practice for most👍

The main difference between a multispline socket and a 12-point socket is that multispline sockets are designed to tighten and loosen spline fasteners, while 12-point sockets can work on a variety of fasteners
@@MrAutoFixer I still wasted some money getting it towed and wasting plenty anti freeze refilling 😂😂 and paying mechanic to diagnose it TWICE. I brought aftermarket coolant reservoir and now it’s dripping from the wire (not hose)
Fantastic video brother 😊 you are a Legend 💪🫡 ,, want to ask you this bolt dose it stop the W204 c220 cdi from white smoke. ? as my car start have white smoke smell time in first start the when u drive it make white smoke with a very little black smoke smell time starts no white smoke until you drive car !? I bought car from woman she served it in Mercedes since she buy it until I have it she told me need take to service as it’s 160,000 last service was 150,000, anyway I don’t know from where to start from the DPF exhaust manifold pressure sensor behind the Air filter, or crankcase Vent breather valve , or PCV valve oil Separator breather,, just let us know know I have no oil leaking at all I searched all around engine are very clean no coolant leaks at all it stay in level, only have little oil around the diesel filter oil around the rubber hoses around it same spot but nothing around the intake manifold at all ??
