How to play bridge - start here:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8S2sThiGso4.html
As well as giving away my beginners course - I have created hundreds of other free bridge lessons on how to improve your bridge declarer play, defending, and bidding. I play BBO free tournaments including the weekly free - I discuss my actions as I play.
I have been playing for over 35 years - I am an expert bridge player from the UK - I have played with and against international players.
If you have a bridge channel then I am happy to make collaboration videos.
If you came here because you are a Sudoku player - this is actually a bridge channel - what I would say is - have a go at learning how to play bridge here for free: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lNHVgSubujo.html - after recently getting back into Sudoku i've realised how the skillsets for both games overlap so much.
Good luck all of you - I think you will score okay against me today - don't forget to like the video and subscribe to my channel - i'm hoping to add a complete 2/1 tutorial soon 🙂
The whole set was filled with the robots taking anti% drop plays and finesses?? The heart finesse with only four out. 3nt+2 I won the AC and switched to a heart and the bot still dropped both queens with stops in all suits!!!!! So your theory it had to cash out explaining the play is not the case in mine, it should have hooked the diamond queen against me and give me the win. Suspicious play if vs a human
2. Why aren't you attacking spades to sluff a diamond? 3. I bid naturally and was +200 when I converted a negative double to penalty. 5. When partner showed 5-4 in the majors, I jumped to 6S. When I found 6NT on the last hand too, that led to a 70+% game.
2: i thought it might be a singleton lead - wasn't sure. 5 Yes I think I should have done that rather playing in a dumb 4-3 fit and hoping for the best. Last board I was too quick to pass...I would have pulled it to 6NT. Anyway 70%+ was there but i didn't play well.
John I do like watching you, but there are times you are watching a football match at the same time as playing bridge - you even say you are doing it. If I see you looking up when you are "thinking" and I see you are looking at the TV, I end the session. Would love to keep watching you though!
@@taylormckinnon8922 specific kings is 5nt after you have asked for the 5 aces... so if you have agreed spaces 6c=kc,6d=kd,6h=kh...although you also have paradox kings as well where you bid the king you don't have to show 2 kings.
Hand 4 is a 2NT opener forced by system but after 3H this grows a Monster especially with three passed hands. Everything combines -Even an empty dia holding like qxxxx kx xxxx Kx gives you excellent chances What was your reason to finesse? Think this stems from a misguided principle already to be seen in Kelsey Matchpoint play I created the Term „fencing“ Only if Both Results are“inside“ deviating from normal play makes sense In 6s 1430 and -100 are out but you diminish your chances against other non slammers My Version of Polish Club gets a kinky sequence that you will Love😜 2NT opener Shows… 19+ any 4441 3c is a positive asking the short suit 3NT 4414 4nt is rkcb for s 5c 4kc 5d asks spiral 5h no q and tata decision time but if the single is a small cd and s the best akxx 14 rounded points have enuf fillers if the k -the better so 6s In Natural sequence 4c 4d 4h and as hehas the possible max n will not be hard pressend to rkcb
I think i finessed because i was a bit annoyed at myself for not cashing a top spade first and so i was over there i was trying to create a swing. I need to swot up on my polish club clearly :-)
Just for fun for the polish Club Fan:-)) We bid P (absolute Maximum is 10 bal for pass) 1c 1s. 2d(3+ s gf) 3c(5s 10+(Not here) 3d Rkcb 3h (1) 3s(q?) 3nt (no) 4c? 4h (h k Not dia k) 4n? 5c no Club King 5h? 5n dia q no Club q Now Slam is a useful proposition 6s
well it was top of a minimum but yes i'm 6421 shape which is better than 6223 shape...and i also have AQ in the suit - but also i'm empty after that too. Personally i don't like opening 3x with only 6 in the suit especially when i have a 2x bid to show a 6 card suit.
You deserve what you get...5 card major, bid it...with two 5 card majors, open the hearts and let your robot partner support hearts or possibly bid a spades...win win. On the hand your partner opens a heart and you have the King 2....you're on the lead....lead the King and then the 2 High/Low. showing void...let your robot partner decide the Heart count and maybe lead back to you to trump and you book them with the first 3 tricks.
which hands are you talking about - if you put the minute like 24:38 where there is a k2 opposite a 2h opening bid? Just remember this was a special event where once i've used a bid i'm not allowed to use it again.
@@johnworf Sure, given that she didn't lead a H. But you have two D losers regardless, and an 8-0 C break occurs 0.16% of the time (maybe a little more, given that W has 5+ H, so fewer vacant places).
@@shg4421-sb4vb thing is we are certain that lead is a singleton. we also know rho has no points. So if we rise with the ace we can keep RHO off lead as we don't want to lose a heart as well as a spade 2 diamonds. So win and take a spade finesse and then play the Ace of spades - if the King falls in 2 we play to the jack - if it doesn't fall we just play on diamonds and lose 3 tricks all the time. If we don't go up with the ace then we are still losing 3 tricks and RHO gets in to play a heart back so we can lose 4 tricks potentially.
@@jimbeglinger because I do lessons as well...if you check out my playlists you might find more expert stuff so check out muppet stayman:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xSnGNE_pN1E.htmlsi=5Bn_H5LjsFZMgnrs or 6 ace roman keycard blackwood. Let me know if you learnt anything from them?
not sure, it was an unconstrained simulation of 1000 hands so probably covered both, & the responder range was 9-11 at lower end, not 10-11 as stated earlier & 11-13 at higher, so 11 being like a cusp
Remember seeing recently results of a a simulation exercise in playing 3N vs 4M following a 1N opener (strong NT), as I recall with around 10-11 HCP & fit in major there was advantage in playing in the suit, with a slightly better HCP even with a major fit NT was better with chance of 1 over so higher score

Hi Bd2 after the stupid q of Clubs the stupid notcovering the q of dia( bash bash Roboter :-) ) rho ruffs with the Next to last trump so h ruff and DIAMOND is 100% either he discards or ruffs- either case the last Trump is neutralized Either high Cross ruff or overruff and hi x ruff:-)
I don't want to offend but you're talking rubbish. The robot hasn't bid well at all... it has shown 55 in spades and diamonds. And now it looks like it has 3 clubs. Also partner has only 13 points max... if they keep leading clubs at me... what am I going to do with all my heart losers? You're being super resultist in a lot of your comments. In pairs you are better off going the low road and playing it out well... you will usually get at least 6/10 by doing that.
Hi These tinheads are think as two short planks! Imagine N finds the q of diamonds in his assets and Runs with 3S 1h 5d 4c This is a super moron Double The thread of conversion is SO high… Maybe You should als…
Hi i played the challenge match and recorded it also uploaded on my channel but it's now private mode, when you upload your video? Please mention my challenge and give my video Link to your comments, after you upload i publish my video, ok thanks
Board 2: "How did I go off here?" The play was diamond, diamond, heart, heart, heart and tap. Then trump to dummy to take the losing club finesse. LHO can play a heart (he doesn't have a diamond to lead) but you are protected from another tap by dummy's trump. If the play had gone diamond, diamond, diamond and tap, then you would have been dead as LHO would get a trump promotion. RHO should definitely have done this on the fall of the queen with total count in diamonds- but ... robots. That's my penny's worth.
well 10 if i can see through the backs of the cards - i think i played it out okay....unfortunately most people will have just taken a heart finesse - I gave myself two chances to make 9 tricks and it didn't pan out.
