Regardless the original version of this song premiered on 1985, this is the kind of music that WILL NEVER DIE. 1980's was and will be the BEST decade for EVERYTHING, specially music. The best music was produced in the 80's. Nothing like 80's music. Nowadays music misses a lot of things that will never make it be better than 80's music and where you listen of play this kind of music people will crowd the dancefloor like a plague, thing that doesn't happens very often with today's music. LONG LIVE 80'S MUSIC!
Haha, I’m watching this movie now because I like having some familiar 80s movie on while I do notes for work. That somber keyboard instrumental has an after school special vibe that I find oddly comforting. Man, this movie is 37 years old this year.
This movie will always hold a special place in my heart. It marked my transition from an aimless young metalhead to .... an aimless young something else.
Can you imagine Stephen and John having the inspiration to write these amazing themes that capture the feelings and emotions we see on screen. The triumph of "for the right reasons" and "private showing" is unmatched.
The producers tried. Director Howard Deutch, the John Hughes, and music producer Stephen Hague lobbied for another pressing but it was too late. An ‘Extended Soundtrack’ exists, but I don’t think it got a vinyl release unfortunately. That it is prominently featured in the film’s iconic lovely conclusion cements it in not only Rock but Cinema history.
Great movie and great soundtrack... came out when I was 12 but it was on HBO for at least 10 years straight. I think I watched it from beginning to end 10 times and never got tired of it. 🤷♂️
People make me feel so awkward when I jam to this. Like what the heck is this?? I'm like you don't like it? While I'm boppin' like Sarah Jessica Parker in footloose. I dont care i love the whole Some Kind of Wonderful Soundtrack. "All the good friend are so hard to find"
