I’m on my way now, especially since I’ve realised that Arriva Kent’s B7TL might be better done on a Saturday It seems these SF53s are not tracking at all, so I’ve used your intel and deduced that they might be working the runs that are missing on 12 and 525
@@ChilternTransportProductionsOne broke down on the 525 - but I did manage to get 008 which I failed to get earlier however no bother recording as I only took it on the slower sections
@@b7tlgemini It was 18007. I was after that and just as I pulled into Yate at 13:00 on a Y6, I notice that 37007 is out in place of it! I did think those elderly Tridents might break down in the heat at some point in the day, so I wasn’t surprised by that Fortunately I did manage to get some kickdown off 18008 on 12 earlier in the morning! I see that both routes are only tracking one bus so presumably both Tridents are back out again
@@ChilternTransportProductions I believe 007 was the one that broke down earlier, or was replaced as I managed to get 008 on the 12. Unsure what happened to 007 in the end.
Nice kickdown! Slightly wrong with the history though. 879-881 were first with Carousel Buses over summer 2017 in plain red along with 876-878 (to replace Tempos), it was October 2017 they moved to Thames Travel for new X38 in exchange for 912-914. Very briefly River Rapids red Citaros worked 740 (now 102)!
There’s usually 1 sometimes even 2 Tridents on the Activ8. There could even be 3 if you’re lucky! By far the best Andover based route for them to do, they seem to get a good chance of getting a proper thrashing as well
@@b7tlgemini Sounds about right for First Berkshire. I’d never expect anything out of them, Slough drivers have been known to be snails for years now but occasionally you could luck out, you never know!
This is my old local when I used to live here (back when it was the 33)! I’m glad to see Wycombe haven’t ruined it in their usual ways - quite funny how these are in better Nick than the B9s transferred from MK, some of which hoover 💀 So many buses struggle to climb our hills, so it’s refreshing to see this one eats them for breakfast instead!
Yeah, it's a shame they don't go that far anymore. the m4 was to superseed part length of the 19, but the m4 doesn't go the way the 19 used to go after Bristol Parkway.
You definitely won't get performance like this from a Swansea driver. I did a Swansea day 2 years back and every driver was a 20mph driver even on A roads (before the 20mph rule came in)
This have a ZF ecolife now or is it just a worn out ecomat? I've noticed the up shifts in gears are alot earlier as well, I'm guessing this is to make the vehicle Euro 6 spec? Engine still sounds the same as it did when it left Reading buses including the boost leak lol.
They do get an opportunity to be unleashed whenever they do the 71 or Forest routes, as well as Cirencester College contracts. They used to do Amazon runs down to Synmetry Park in Swindon but I’m not sure the A1 (I think?) runs anymore
@@b7tlgemini I Would Prefer LX59 ON GEMINI BECAUSE THEY HAVE BETTER ENGINE PLUS SHAPE OF SEAT WERE REALLY BEAUTIFUL BRILLIANT FANTASTIC BUT LX06 MADE LIKE BEFORE PAST
@@b7tlgemini Maybe your reputation won’t take such a hit if you correct the information and issue a light apology. Maybe then your audience will not think you’re ok with spreading misinformation, maybe they’d still trust your word. Now there’s some food for thought
@@ChilternTransportProductions I’m not fussed about my reputation really, you can either love me or hate me it’s up to you. However I’m not going to get in a fuss over the location or history of the bus when really I only add it to ensure people get a bit of background which sometimes people get wrong unfortunately!
Wasting your own time commenting, but thank you for taking the time out of your lifeless day. It's just a name I use, don't get yourself worked up over it x
Converted to Euro 6 and well looked after! on the whole NXWM have always kept on top of maintenance, unlike certain operators who have run their B7TLs into the ground with bodged repairs, fans left on full blast and little attention to interiors.
