The family has always been the cornerstone of American society. Our families nurture, preserve, and pass on to each succeeding generation the values we share and cherish, values that are the foundation for our freedoms. In the family we learn our first lessons of God and man, love and discipline, rights and responsibilities, human dignity and human frailty.
Why thank you sir! Of course the credit goes to Ms. Alvare, who came thoroughly prepared, not just with facts, law, & rhetorical skill, but with calm, charity, & conviction. These are the fruit of diligent study, reflection, & above all, prayer. One does not arrive at this depth without difficult struggle and relentless pusuit of Truth for its own sake. I can't claim this for myself, but I believe I am right in recognizing this in her remarkable presentation you were good enough to put up.
Helen would just love living in the 1950's as Miss Leave it to Beaver. When she mentions family law, etc. in some of her later talks and how different the laws are today compared to the 60's she sounds very sad and even a bit shocked that the laws have changed since that time. Most women do not want to go back to the 1950's. That would be a nightmare to go back to the black and white world of Pleasantville.
@JHNative... I called you a troll because that's what you are and you commented on my video like I would give a rats ass what you think. You are anti-God and you probably always will be. This video is not on here for you to live out your fantasy of converting the weak.
Why is it that people who disagree with you are "trolls"? To call someone who disagrees with you or this woman a "troll" is pretty asinine and immature. Helen is just a younger intellectual version of Phyllis Schlafly.
The argument that should be used to counter the false choice presented by pro-choice advocates that it is a women's right issue, is to simply agree with them that it is a women's right issue and the concern is for the rights of little baby girls in the womb.
It is quite telling that feminist and liberals in general defalut to the argument of rape and incest which represents 1/2 of 1% of all abortions. Yes all life is sacred. These young persons did not choose their fate and should not be put to death as a result of it. That aside, it is completey irrational to base any law or action on trying to accommodate a population of 1/2 of 1%. This is actually insanity and not of the real world. Their argument? murder 99 to scure the rights of 1?!?
@ChaiVat Thank You for your comment. I think that is a great story. Everyday in 1991 & 92 I listened to "The Word For Today' at lunch time. It changed my life. I had never even heard of expository teaching. Ever since then I have lived my belief in God... not just believed it. I learned "Where God guides God provides" after listening to Pastor Chuck and as far as I know he is as good as it gets.
This video was taken while driving through Bexley, OH. I used Tonya's little pink Kodak. I hooked my fingers onto the top of the rear view mirror to steady the camera and then used the mirror to see the screen. I had practiced earlier in the trip. I still had a little trouble getting it at the correct angle. Madison was a little fired up because she had just fell in the mud downtown. She was in a good mood but she wasn't real happy w/Nana because she got lectured about walking on the side walk.
Thanks so much for posting this--when was it recorded, and is a full version of the program available? Helen was fantastic in this role--I miss her--but I think she got burned out, as anyone would.
