I've just noticed, at the beginning of the video when Richard is playing the drugs don't work. I remember him messing it up be it seem to not be the case on here. Have you cut it out because he said "I've fucked that one up"? Or it it the Mandela effect?
It’s amazing what Nick Mcabe was able to do with these songs and salvage that album… listening to these demos and comparing the songs to the actual album goes to show where the real magic always was with the Verve and it wasn’t necessarily where most people thought it was ….. it’s a crime Mcabe never received a producer credit … and the fact that a lot of Ashcrofts solo albums songs were demoed with a band that never received any credit for their contributions to those songs musically is another kick in the face from a mediocre song writer whose true talent was aligning himself with some brilliant musicians ….. and his solo career is proof of that!
Salvage is a strong word to use when the lyrics were just as strong as the production and guitar work. There’s a reason why it’s a certified classic. Can’t have one without the other.
Demo of C'mon People (We're Making It Now). It was written by Richard in mid 90s (96 probably) for his solo album that appeared to be The Verve's 3rd studio album Urban Hymns. Later, in 2000, this song appeared on Ashcroft's first studio album Alone With Everybody.

@@raresblidar7721 Ugh that sucks. End Clothing is an okay alternative but I liked the human vibe of Oi Polloi, their item descriptions were pretty funny sometimes.
Only four likes .. what the actual? This, now that I look back, is one of the best videos I have ever been involved with (and the best 'other' all involve my friend from Macc,) - you guys are so wonderful! What you do in the community is not understood or well trumpeted. PLEASE release this to help. The lyric if you listen, is very relevant today. Wow. I can't believe I have not truly watched and listend until now!
You guys are amazing. Life is precious, enjoy every minute. ALEX, u have got this. Second time round u have this. Amazing and inspiring to watch u grow over the years. Stay strong this time. Don’t let the b@stards or shall I say addiction grind u down. Love to each one of u ❤️
So incredibly powerful , moving and inspirational … each and every one that bravely shared their journey . I went from crying tears of deep sadness and empathy to tears of joy and elation at the end … all of those beautiful smiles and confidence in them all . So visible how they all showed they had developed a good self love and self appreciation of themselves . Wishing every single one of them the very best for all their future endeavours 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼.Peace Love and RESPECT always xx
just shows you what McCabe brought to Urban Hymns i think his contributions have been downplayed. Youth was long gone by the time they fixed up this album. Producer credits should have gone to McCabe and Chris Potter. Kudos for McCabe helping getting Potter his producer credit
