Wonderful, Carson! How do I apply this to a trail horse sold to me who seems to be afraid of every little thing. She spooks ALMOST in place, but back so round I can hardly fit her with a secure saddle. Ah, me!! Have been walking her in hand every day for a week as I am almost recovered from a severely fractured wrist, and must return to my job on a hamster wheel soon. Help?!
I’m not sure I would tie a horse using a rope halter. I also think you should work with the horse and not tie him for hours alone. Where’s the teaching in that? Maybe after you work with them THEN you can tie the , but not straight off. Sorry don’t agree

Thank you for this. I just read a post that said the greatest gift we can give a horse is peace and when a horse does as we ask we give him peace. When he doesn’t we take it away. I was repulsed by that. We should always be a source of peace for them, especially when they’re struggling. Yes we can be firm, set boundaries, even escalate pressure if necessary - and still be a source of peace
Could I please get a full video on this? I’d love to have a better understanding of how to make my horse more comfortable. He gets real uneasy in the barn or any arena and just runs and it’s hard to get him to relax once his halters off!
What kinds of an idiot would think horses understand respect more importantly why do you think it should respect you in a straight up fist fight the horse would kill you,
I'm starting to ride my horses after maybe six years of them sitting in the pasture. The more I learn about what I'm doing, the more confident I feel. I have a big tall horse that I admit I have never cantered on. I hope I feel safe, I also have a smaller horse that I don't right now but he for me
I have one that keeps taking her halter off when she out on a tie out trying figure a safe way to keep the halter on I have her one a good 60 ft rope tied out where she can move every direction she wants but she keeps taking it off
ohhh YAHHHH you are right- horses are slaves and of course they need to obey . F*** this is bulshit. You are fashion and cold - . And ignore what kind of creature the horse is🤮
I hope the gal on the gray takes lessons on how to just ride. Watching her bang that horses back and flailing her hands all over the place was hard to watch. Yikes! 😬
Wow, the mounting technique was explained in detail. I am just learning to ride in my middle age and this will certainly help me a lot. Thanks for sharing.
