"The Church alone, being the Bride of Christ and having all things in common with her Divine Spouse, is the depository of the truth." - Pope St Pius X
"Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises man to Heaven." - St Ephraem the Syrian
Listening to this and the other offerings by Petrus Joseph, helped me get through the untimely death of my daughter and was one part of the whole that lead me back to the life of faith......
I want to mass this morning and it was the feast day of Saint Gregory who the Gregorian chants are named after. We have an awesome creator. Heavenly Father, I love you ❤ Please watch over my family, especially my little grandsons.
I play this and other beautiful Gregorian chants when my young grandson sleeps over. He finds it difficult to get to sleep. This always relaxes him. He is a 7 yr old baptised Catholic who attends mass every Sunday. He is such a sweet little boy who loves our blessed mother. I pray for him to have strong faith and to love this heavenly music. Thank you whoever put this together. May God bless you always 🙏
1. Adoro te devote, latens Deitas, Quae sub his figuris vere latitas; Tibi se cor meum totum subiicit, Quia te contemplans, totum deficit. 2. Visus, tactus, gustus in te fallitur, Sed auditu solo tuto creditur; Credo quidquid dixit Dei Filius, Nil hoc verbo veritatis verius. 3. O memoriale mortis Domini, Panis vivus vitam praestans homini: Praesta meae menti de te vivere, Et te illi semper dulce sapere. 4. Pie pellicane Iesu Domine, Me immundum munda tuo Sanguine: Cuius una stilla salvum facere Totum mundum quit ab omni scelere. 5. Iesu, quem velatum nunc aspicio, Oro, fiat illud, quod tam sitio, Ut te revelata cernens facie, Visu sim beatus tuae gloriae. Amen.
I would be very interested in getting a hold of the SATB music for the refrain. This is a beautiful chant that our choir does, but looking for individual parts.
Siempre que me siento mal emocionalmente, escucho más está música por qué me sana me trae mucha pas y tranquilidad ❤ gracias Dios por querernos tanto no me sueltes te lo pido padre 😢
If you liked this and if you haven't heard the In Paradisum movement in the Durufle Requiem, you might want to go listen. Durufle used most of the chant melodies from the Requiem mass for his Requiem. The In Paradisum still gives me chills.
