This “Dr.” and Art Bell are full of sh!t. It is so obvious they have no clue where we live. And they won’t listen! Of course this is 2015, poor things. Bought into it. And would not listen.
Electric universe. It's a snow globe. Don't believe the sun worshipers model of the ball. Who does water stay on a ball spinning. Show me that in real life. Oh the density is so much it doesn't come off. Lol get out of here!
I think this is a fascinating subject! Very glad Art gave it air time. I’m not convinced in the flat earth theory, however, I think stranger things have been suggested. During this argument I found the doctor’s condescending attitude and black and white certainty made me feel a little defensive of John.
If you have never tuned in to a crackling am radio on a dark desert highway in the high desert west of the rockies with cool wind in your hair, when the sun begins to paint the horizon with a blood red burnt orange purpleish mixture of a brilliant sunrise when the twinkling stars begin to fade in a sky that seems to be larger than you ever realized as the dark silhouettes of tall cacti and joshua tress start to rise,,, you just haven't lived. I've have never missed a celebrity that I've never met like the way I miss the man from the land of Nye . God Speed Mr Bell. We will keep your name alive as long as we live. You will never die. You will live forever floating upward in the air waves for infinity, my friend.
Funny how the Profs delivery back in those times was normal conversational, now it’s all grandiose and dramatic like he’s narrating a spooky documentary
I love listening to these old shows to see how little we've come. People are still believing in the flat earth nonsense. And they're militant about it. They get mad when confronted by the truth that the earth is spherical.
I love how "John" has to be anonymous or he'd lose his job, bot because his theroy is so stupid and inconceivable but because the round earthers would ruin his life for knowing the "Truth". Lol, flat earthers are so ridiculous
This guy being interviewed has a very loose idea of proof/evidence. There were alot of scam artist back in the day that claimed to talk to spirits. Had so called flying instruments playing themselves, shook table with their foot to demonstrate spirit communication..all kinds of nonsense 😂
Omg that flat earth guy HAS to be just doing this for attention 😅😅 but I mean, maybe not..I've actually stopped being friends with two people over flat earth bullshit LOL true story, unfortunately 😏
This was two guys talking over each other 50% of the broadcast. I had to quit listening about an hour in. Plus the flat earth guy was a complete doofus.
@@shellsangel7953 everyone deserves respect as a human being, but not everyones ideas should be. If it's an opinion like, Indian food is delicious, that should be respected. If it's an opinion about something that can't be proven like, ghosts are real, that should also be respected. But when it's something that has been proven totally wrong like, the earth is flat, that doesn't deserve respect.
Actually, it's the flat earthers that get mad when you confront them with the truth. Are all the other planets flat too⁉️ What about the stars? Or is it just the earth that's flat⁉️
@@KalmateTuristaWell, yeah, we do. We can choose for the most part who’s company we seek out and who to have contact and conversations with, but often we encounter people with different opinions/personalities and interests out there in the crazy world that we have to deal with on an ongoing basis, like in a workplace situation. We have to treat others as we would like them to treat us - with respect.
Flat Earthers usually sound moronic, just like the laughing idiot in this episode. There are definitely many mysteries we have not cracked, but flat earth is just dumb any way you look at it from.
I’ve also spoken to many flatters in the past as well. And while I’ve found my conversations with them to be quite amusing and slightly intriguing, one common trait that I’ve noticed in all flatties (besides an adorably high degree of creative fantasizing) is that they are all alarmingly convinced of their incredibly stupid notions. That being said, they can be complete sweethearts so long as they feel that you’re agreeing with their childlike curiosities.
The flerfers are misguided and easily persuaded it seems. But wait, there's more! Order right now and we'll double your order for free if you call in the next 20 minutes!
Remember the old Simpsons movie I think they had a glass dome around Springfield. Maybe to observe us, or to let sunlight through? I don't know. I don't believe in flat earth but it's possible..you get a certain age and realize that alot of things in life is a lie and don't add up.
I don't trust Lear for a second. Very skilled at what does in all these interviews, but he's just preying on the gullible. For what ultimate motive? I do not know. Covering up and keeping certain technologies secret is likely as is helping to push anti-government propaganda. "The government is lying to you and can't be trusted!!"; as if private groups/organizations/companies/individuals don't also manipulate people (everything from commercial advertising, like every Coca Cola and fast food commercial, "Got Milk?", "Beef, its what's for dinner", "Cotton, the fabric of our lives", to the long history of tobacco/alcohol/health insurance/oil propaganda, etc.,). Manipulation, greed, corruption, inefficiency, and waste exist everywhere, both in government and outside government. Not all government is bad and out to get you, and not every company is greedy and evil. Government can do good and can also do bad. Private companies can do good and can also do bad. I don't want an all-powerful government, and I also don't want power to be held solely by private entities. I see Lear as someone trying to steer public opinion against the government and stir mistrust as part of longstanding movement to shift power towards the private side of it all.
I also don't mean to discredit anyone who claims themselves to have seen UFOs or to say higher intelligence life doesn't exist. There is so much around us that we as humans, limited by our human experience/brain/senses, are blocked out from experiencing and being aware of. UFO's and higher intelligence existing doesn't exclude Lear still having anti-government motives when he does such interviews such as this one.
I believe it's possible that the earth may have started out flat. Because in ancient times, the maps indi- cated that it was, I think. But, over time, the spinning of the planet rounded it....maybe.
This show was a lot of fun. I've talked to flat earthers over the years. But here I learned that they have to deny gravity exists in order for their theory to be true.
Some flatearthers try to present their ideas as biblical. But the bible literally says the earth is a "round" (sphere). Isaiah 40:22 cites “the circle of the earth,” and Proverbs 8:27 speaks of it being "circular/spherical". The earth is round and circles around the sun (heliocentric): in both scientific and christian view.
@@a-sheepof-christ9027 I think Isaiah 40.22 is a reference to the perceived dome of stars above the earth. It's poetic because it also refers to people as grasshoppers, heavens as a curtain, etc.
"Gravity" as a fundamental force is a conundrum to physics, there's no quantum theory of gravity so they keep "patching" the holes in theory to try and make it work when it doesn't. FE claims things fall down (or float up) because of buoyancy or density. I.E. Helium would not "float up" simply because it's lighter than air in a gravitational field (just fall slower) water doesn't cling to a spinning ball, gas always expands to fill a vacuum so why do we have an atmosphere, etc. Only way around this is EU theory revolving around dipolarity.
@@nunyabidness5375 gravitational theory works perfectly to describe motion of objects. If it didn't then planes wouldn't fly. I challenge you to design and fly a plane using the hodgepodge of Flat Earth theories.
