Scottish league football is a joke. It has been for about 40 years now. Scotland still produces quality players, this is proven by the recent performance in the Euro qualifiers. However, a number of the current crop of players play in England and elsewhere. The Scottish premiership has 228 games in a season. Only about 10 or so of those games actually matter, the old firm games, and the occasional contests where the old firm slip up. When Celtic and / or Rangers default their way into the Champions League each year they get blasted time and again by real teams from competitive leagues with quality players. People should listen to the argument Adams is making. The argument that the basic quality of the game elsewhere is much higher than in Scotland is spot on.
Scottish football is easily the worst league out there. If it’s not the Glasgow Derby that’s on, no one outside of Scotland watches it. Piss poor league
I take your point.I go to a lot of lower league games.Some very good.I would also say Rangers beat Real Betis so our league can't be that bad though was much better in 80s with Aberdeen & Dundee United challenging Glasgows old firm duo.Now tv & big business have ruined football especially in Scotland where it's highly unlikely any of our clubs outwith Celtic & Rangers will be Champions or win Euro trophies again.
@@georgeaimer Real Betis ain’t no big team. Credit to them beating them as they was doing good. Credit to rangers reaching two European finals as well but the Scottish league is horrendous. Can’t knock Rangers considering half the team is English championship players and the managers got them playing well in Europe

Really disappointed to hear Derek’s comments. He may have his own personal opinion on the state of Scottish football and the merits of what he has inherited but I believe he should be circumspect as to his comments to the media. A bad workman can only blame his tools.

What a speech what a delivery and what a result. Its a shame his 8 min full version is not plastered all over youtube very hard to find. I watch it several times and what a 8 minutes that was. Never heard of this man but wish him so many great results and bigger clubs in future... And when the battle begins and it will begin soon... Got me off my sofa looking for my sword and shield
