I’m Dora (she/her). Makeup panner. Taurus sun 💄 Aries moon ✨ Capricorn rising 🪐 Makeup = escapism, play & selfcare I’m a firm believer in YOU doing you. ❤️
This is so fun! Can't wait for part 2. Plus a mini possible declutter? Amazing! If you havnt filmed part 2 yet I would love to know what makeup people claimed, and what's still in your collection.
@@slr_beauty_and_makeup 🩷🩷🩷 Give it a go! You could customise it to your own preferences. I initially wanted to do this challenge to give myself a month off from all projects, but my competitiveness when it comes to my goals took over 😆
I really love what you’re working on for this project. You got this!! I finished my first candle a couple weeks ago. It felt great. I tend to buy candles and never burn them. ❤
Looking forward to your perspectives at the end. I love the idea. I personally really like "vacation-sized" makeup collections and maybe the equivalent of 2 medium palettes worth of shadows, but I realistically cannot pare down to just that without wasting a ton of my products. You are inspiring me to host a clothing and beauty swap though, it seems like a great reason to round a few girls up and make friends.
@@ampersignia Yay! Do it! 🥰 You’ll have so much fun!! 🩷✨👗 I’ve found some of my favourite pieces in clothes swaps, and even if something doesn’t end up working out for you, you can always put it back into the next swap!
@@trinahughes1230 yayyyy!! I’d say, really take your time picking out what to include (helps with being in the right frame of mind too) & then just go for it! You’ll learn lots about your preferences & some of it will positively surprise you 🩷
@@dora_makeup thank you for the advice 💕 I'm leaning towards creams and liquids for blush & bronzer .... I'm not a huge fan of either , however I don't want what I have to go off , it's only a few products..... eyeshadow palettes is a whole different story Hahahaha
@@trinahughes1230 hahaha same 😂🎨🩷✨ ooh, maybe you could plan your entire selection around those cream/liquid items, I bet you’ll find some great new ways to pan them faster! Good luck with it, do keep me posted if you like 🩷🩷🩷
Love that you changed this project to suit your needs. It's what I love so much about panning. There is a project for everyone, and a way to alter every project.
I would also prefer using veto instead of forced usage, yayyyyy🎉 for hitting new pans 🥳🎉💃💐🌸💖 I really like the idea of rolling in at least one shade from focused palettes moving forward as well 😃 How convenient having smaller palettes rolled in 😃
I think keep the veto. Or maybe just randomize the palette but pick the shade yourself. Would definitely be interesting to see what you choose. ☺Great update! 💕 Looking forward to hearing more about your capsule vanity challenge.😍
I agree with the veto. You don’t need to overwhelm yourself. I found out this year that I prefer the panning battleship to the project level up, once I reached level 2 I decided to do just the battleship project and I’m really enjoying it. I’m excited to watch your video about your 30 days makeup bag
@@anaclarafranco1988 that’s so cool!! I love that project so much. Did you bring in shades from different palettes or are you using one palette as your “battleship playing field”? Can I follow your progress anywhere? 😘
@@dora_makeup I built a 36x36 playing field with my Smoke n Roses palette and some quads, all from Colourpop. I’m not posting in any social media, just taking pics for myself. I took the idea from Jessikita Banana’s pan those eyeshadows project: use the selected eyeshadows 30 times or until hit pan, what comes first.
@@anaclarafranco1988 ooh that sounds so fun! That’s a lot of shades!!! I guess it has an open goal but I’m still cheering you on to get it done by the end of the year! 🩷
Thank you Valeria 🩷 there’ll be another video first (graveyard project pan update) but the one after will be about my 30 day makeup bag challenge. Just 3 more days left of the challenge! 🥳
Dora, I love your videos so much! I've been subscribed for a few months now and find myself prioitising watching your content first. I've been trying to place your accent from the beginning, but I find myself stumped! I know you live in the UK and because it's such a slight accent I have to assume you've lived there a long time. Please put me out of my misery and tell me where that lovely, interesting accent is from?!
Aww thank you, Lorna 🥲🩷 haha, yes my accent: so I’m an original frankfurter 🌭🇩🇪 but I’ve lived in London for 22 years & also went to school in the UK in the late 90s. ☺️
@@dora_makeup 😁 I thought it was German but didn't want to put my foot in it 🤣 What a great language. I took German for 3 years in secondary school but I can't claim to remember anything but the basics. I might be able to give directions at a push 🤣 I would love to visit Germany. I had a trip to Berlin and Cologne booked for April 2020. I was so disappointed that I couldn't go! I'm sure it would have been amazing.
@@LornaKelso haha, yeah, don’t think anyone from the neighbouring countries would be pleased to be asked if they’re German 🫢😆 that’s so cool you studied German, and apologies for the crazy grammar rules! 🙃🤣 what a pity your trip didn’t work out! 🥺 Hope you get to go one day. They’re definitely both great cities to visit!
Do it, Ruth!!!!!! You’ll feel so good about it & you’ll learn loads about your collection, needs & habits! 🩷 I’ve been finding it incredibly easy to put things away because I know they’re only in “quarantine” and not wasted! Good luck! 😘
I am so on the switch it out train lately too. If I'm not feeling a product it is getting switched. Hooray for finishing a lipstick! That lip pencil is so cute and tiny. That powder is incredibly close. I love doing challenges like your 30 days, I find it really curbs my desire to purchase. I'm the same with declutters. I struggle to see things get wasted, and watching declutters hurts my soul, especially when people say they are just throwing things in the trash.
i just wanted to tell you that you’re my fav project panner- i think you’re the primary reason i started doing it myself! i started watching the deck of panning series and when i came across your channel i just got sucked in. your voice is so soothing and i just enjoy hearing you talk about yr products so much. i just started filming videos myself- i hope to join the panning community in a more meaningful way very soon, once i get the hang of editing. the one video i have up right now is a true embarrassment, but i’ve got to start somewhere. thank you so much for your continued efforts and your time! YT takes a lot work!
Awww thank you Natalie for your sweet comment! 🥹🥲🥰 that’s so cool you started panning & making videos!! 🩷 Surely your first video can’t be as embarrassing as my first ones haha. It definitely gets easier and it’s so so so much fun - so here’s a big WELCOME 🤗💄🩷✨ I’m excited to follow your panning journey!
I can relate to most of your feelings! The downside, for me, is that I go through phases: I want the smallest amount possible of everything vs I want everything 😅 I've been trying to get on some middle ground for a couple of years now, but I still can't say no to freebies 😂
Wow, the progress on the Kombucha palette is awesome!! I would put the Vivaci palette back in my stash. Since you're having more fun with the Kombucha and already have so much progress, stay focused on that one and let's see where you can get with it! 😊
If you are feeling that way about the Vivachi palette, I would put it back in your collection. There’s nothing wrong with finding out you love a palette and deciding to keep it a bit longer. It will also help your progress on the other two 😊
I think you have decent progress considering you are only allowing yourself to work on your Kombucha palette for now! I am looking forward to the video explaining that! lol
oooh Kombucha palette has so much usage 🎉🌸💖🌸❤️😃 I would say maybe take bh cosmetics palette out of this project and focus on the other two palettes. You are working on so many other eyeshadows in other projects already 😃
I would encourage you to think about your enjoyment when deciding what to do about this project. It seems like you're really having fun still panning Kombucha Kiss, whereas the Colori Vivace is feeling less organic to work on. 🤔 While panning requires effort, it should also be fun! 😃 I'd say if you're not enjoying or feeling like panning something, it's totally okay to let it go for the time being and just enjoy using it (and other things) organically instead. It can be easy to get burnt out from panning over long periods of time but following the joy and keeping things fun can help avoid that outcome! 😊
Don't know if you've heard of Pan that Palette in order (and I don't remember who came up with the idea unfortunately), but it could be a cool challenge for the colori vivachi palette. It's basically going through the palette to hit pan in each shade in chronological order. Focusing on one shade before going onto the next one, kinda ignoring the other shades. It's like pan those eyeshadows meets pan that palette.
