If you've been using a Romeo 1 for an extended period of time then how can you be satisfied with a delta point pro?! IMHO the DP Pro is one of the most if not the most overrated red dot on the market. It doesn't stand a chance against the romeo 1. Further more I'm afraid you didn't understand the concept of co-witness. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tpkb0Lyr9RM.html

Why you think I don't understand the concept of Co-witnessing? As for the Delta Point Pro vs Romeo 1. I use(d) (past tense) a Romeo 1 quite a bit more than I use the Delta Point Pro. The Delta Point Pro has a larger window and is more durable that an original Romeo 1. The only reason I have the Delta Point Pro is because it was the only RDS available for my M17. Why do you think that the Delta Point Pro is overrated?
@Borat808
@Borat808 6 дней назад
@@armeddiver >> Why you think I don't understand the concept of Co-witnessing? << Just check the link to sage dynamics video I've been posting in the original comment. You might find it benefitial 😉 >> Why do you think that the Delta Point Pro is overrated? << DP Pro's price is far to high for what you get because: - DP Pro can not compete with the Romeo 1 in terms of optical quality and clarity (Quality of Lens, sharpness of the dot, anti-reflective coating) - DP Pro tends to show a distinct halo around the dot In adverse (unfavourable) lighting conditions (espacially with intense backlighting) - DP Pro's operating concept is just annoying IMHO >> The only reason I have the Delta Point Pro is because it was the only RDS available for my M17 << I understand this very well since a friend of mine chose the DP Pro for his Walther PDP V2 since he wasn't able to find the right adapter plate for the Romeo 1 footprint. Meanwhile he modified the DP Pro adapter to fit a Romeo 1 Pro footprint (postition of the screwholesand and threads are identical but one has to get rid of the poles on the plate) Btw talking about the Romeo 1 Pro, if I remember this right it was built by Sig Electro-Optics to fit OR-ready Sig Sauer Pistols right away without any adapters, wasn't it? So it should be compatible with the P320 M17.

@@Borat808 Thank you for the response. I will definitely take a look at the Sage Dynamics video. In honesty I haven’t shot the M17 with the DP Pro enough to be able to speak intelligently about it. @@armeddiver My pleasure, sir! After all I didn't mean to say that the DP Pro is a bad red dot in general. In my eyes it's just over-prized for it's performance. Watched this whole video to figure out what exactly was disappointing with this guys build. The only thing I can come up with is this guy can’t shoot and he must be disappointed in his ability. He has in the neighborhood of 6-7000 dollars in this setup and expects he can buy tighter groups. Here is the reality my guy, spend time behind the gun and get better. The whole video is him explaining the bits and pieces he put on the build, not what makes this so disappointing. Waste of time, a waste of money, and he is probably already started on his next build because it isn’t about an accurate rifle, it’s about him showing off the ridiculous amount of money he has in these things and still wonder why he can’t get groups under an MOA at 100yards. Keep shooting bud, you may get there eventually if you understand it’s about developing technique instead of trying to buy small groups.

You seem frustrated with what you saw in my video. I am sorry. As for my abilities as a shooter. Let me say this. It is NEVER the tool. It is ALWAYS the user of the tool. As for my disappointment, I am pretty sure I explained in the video what I was disappointed in.

Love your AXG. Very cool color choices. I completely forgot about the Romeo X magnetic on/off. It's actually an interesting feature. The Romeo X is a durable optic that is perfectly sized for concealed carry. I am also a stickler for cowitnessable sights, which this allows. Also, you do not have to remove the sight to change the battery, which I will not accept on an optic anymore. The whole direct mount/footprint thing you are dealing with really stinks. I almost bought the wrong optic when I bought my first P320, as it was the new cut and would not take the Romeo 1. Thankfully, I found out I needed a Romeo 1 Pro before I made the purchase. I am a huge fan of the circle dot reticle. Furthermore it was being praised as the next big thing for Sig Optics. The fact that the Romeo X was originally designed for the P365 should have been a ‘clue,’ but it never dawned on me that it would be so small. Is it an excellent optic? It appears to be, ‘but’ it has its drawbacks, which hopefully I have made people aware of. I haven’t gotten it to the range yet so we will see how it performs after the range. Bottom line … my fault. No helmet is going to stop any rifle round what so ever. IDC if you paid 200 or 1500 dollars for it. I got about 10 friends from Afghanistan will you the same thing that got shrapnel all in their heads and neck from explosives. The reason why, is that if they put ballistic material in a helmet and it did block a 5.56 or a 7.62 directly not at a angle is it will snap your neck or paralysis will occur at the minimum. Your body is the weak part of the equation. You are more likely to live if the round actually penetrates or bounces off at a angle.

Okay, you didn’t care for the optic. Not a big deal. Sell it and buy a different scope. If you like a good 2 stage trigger, you'll never find a single stage trigger that makes you happy. Those groups weren't very good, BUT with your technique and the fact that its factory ammo, that level of accuracy is somewhat expected. Get a rear bag, and a decent front rest. Find someone that can help you adjust the rifle to fit you, and position the scope correctly. Adjust the gun to you, not you to the gun. Thats the whole point of spending money on any kind of adjustable stock. Maintain your cheek weld during the string. Learn about natural point of aim. All of this, when properly applied should have that rifle shooting most factory ammo into sub moa groups. That said, sub moa sucks for that rifle. If you're normally shooting 1" groups with factory ammo, you need to start hand loading so you know when the problem is you, when the problem is the rifle, and ehen the problem is the ammo. If you and the rifle normally shoot 1/2" or better at 100 yds, and you try a new powder or bullet and your groups open up, you'll know its not you or the rifle.
