Whats up fam!? My name is Scott Stockton and I'm a professional wedding photographer out of Charlotte NC. Even though I live in Charlotte, I will travel all over the globe to shoot a wedding. This page is going to be dedicated to many things. I'm going to have behind the scenes footage from my shoots, tutorials, out and about videos showing eats/drinks from our travels, and gear reviews. I hope you enjoy the content!
Finally someone saying the settings aren't relevant. When ive been asked how i did something in the past my usual response is "fast/slow shutter and wide/narrow aperture" they usually get annoyed that i didn't give the meta data
Yea I’ve had people reach out to me about certain photos I took, asking about the settings as if they would translate to whatever pictures they are trying to take. It’s wild
@@reneweisz9157 stay in the past if you want. Thanks for helping all of us wannabes out by watching our videos on RU-vid sunshine, helps the algorithm. #NumberOneFan 🥰
As tempting as the idea of saving time is, I'm not entirely sure I want to train a company's software to be able to replicate our abilities and artistic styles. I also feel like my style will stagnate and I will be less likely to explore various edits and grow as a photographer. You can already have it automatically cull photos with missed focus, and presets can do a lot of the work while just tuning it in to taste. But if it works really well and saves a ton of time, it'll be hard to say no.
Great comment and I share your concern with AI in many different matters. As far as Imagen AI goes, I think they are an amazing group of people that have developed a tool, by photographers for photographers to help us save time. I know a lot of the people that work for Imagen and they are salt of the earth people. As far as your style getting stagnate by using Image or AI in general, I don't think it will. I never just accept the Imagen edits as they are, I will always tweak some. I also sometimes try and explore new styles outside of editing my shoots. I think you will find that you keep your hunger to growing and getting better, and will enjoy just how much time you will get back to your life. I would encourage you to use that link of mine and get 1500 free edits and see first hand if it can help you.
Interesting! AI technology can be a bit scary sometimes😂, but it’s super cool and useful. This software looks like it can definitely save you so much time!!
Perfect example of how wide-angle lenses can be used a stylistic choice. Tired of hearing people you can't use them for portraits. If used correctly, they create some really dramatic images.
Thank you for watching!! And you’re so right, they not only can be used for portraits, but they can take some of the dopest portraits if used correctly!
Did you try to put that Wandrd Rogue 6L inside of the Nomatic Mckinnon 35L in the top part if it does can fit? It would be awesome if it does cause I have the Nomatic Mckinnon 35L and I want to purchase a sling bag that can fit inside of it, I know the Nomatic 8L Sling does that but I'm looking for alternative brands. Thanks for your future response 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on shooting in harsh light. With the other videos I’ve seen, the harsh light photos still looked pretty bad despite the “tips” those photographers shared. Loved your tip on getting the camera higher and angling it down to cut out the overexposed sky. Seems so obvious in retrospect! Bonus was those prompts and posing tips to get the model to smile and laugh. Say, “Yas Queen!” That cracked me up 😆 Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much for your comment! That made my day! I tried to put up content that I wish I would’ve seen when I was first starting out. Glad it was helpful!
So my question is , when I shoot to nearly dark outside and I’m shooting landscapes, I’m using a 18-150mm rf lens and I get my shutter speed to 1/250 then iso 800 turn my flash on in ttl then shoot! All my images are darker than without the flash!!!! What am I doing wrong ?
