I appreciate the video! My car was missing the mount and plan on following this video for reference. It did not come with the bolts. Do you remember what size and how many?

Freezer top model.... Already did this and cleaned the rear coils. 5 days later AGAIN the buzzing NOT WORKING FREEZER IS BACK!! F***K SAMSUNG!!
Helpful hints: No need to take wheel off, everything can be done from the top. Remove reservoir first and set it out of the way (small bungee helps). After getting the serpentine belt off of the PS pump, us a bungee or similar to hold it out of the way and keep it on the other pulleys. The off set wrench to take the tension off of the belt is great, and requires a cheater bar as shown. A hydraulic jack handle from a floor jack works great. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't ever, ever stick your finger in the hole of the pulley to hold it still for the impact wrench to tighten the nut. Well, unless you want to break or shorten a finger. USE a SCREWDRIVER or similar. Those seals on the pipe nipples should be replaced, order the PS pump that includes them. The air needs to be bled out of the system.
Annoying video - Freaking head in the way half the time - no verbal explanations - the music is very annoying - and we really don't need to fast-motion speed 🤷♂️🙄🙄🙄
High speed because this is a 1 hour job. No one is going to watch a 1 hour video on this. Judging by the other comments, everyone else found it helpful. Maybe DIY isn't your thing.
That's because I didn't use a torque wrench, as you saw in the vid. Feel free to look up the values and post them in the comments, if you think they are necessary.
Hello..i replaced the power steering pump on my honda crv 2007 just yesterday..and still the steering wheel is hard to turn it..can you tell me what other reason can cause a hard steering wheel?
I have an 07 CRV as well. @1:11 I'm noticing you have the same pump as mine. The cover you're removing only covers the bottom hole? Is there fluid always coming out of the top hole, or does air come out? I can't figure out why both holes aren't covered? I was confused taking the hose off today, to replace the o-ring, wondering if it was put on wrong?
Do you think this mount would cause excess movement or jerking of the transmission/motor? I’ve replaced all mounts but there’s still a lot of movement when shifting in place
I bought them as a pre-assembled unit. I did this job twice, and the first time i bought just the smaller piece and had it pressed in at a machine shop. The guy told me he had a hard time getting it to fit. When i got the part back, i could see that the rubber had been damaged in the process, so it only lasted about a year before i had to do it again. The second time, i bought the assembly, which is what i used for the video.
Thanks for the video. It made the job a lot easier watching this. I just pulled back the computer and didn't disconnect harness. Also I did not remove the passenger side motor mount.
I don’t hear a noise but mine was packed with ice! And it says it’s at -2 but everything is still mushy not frozen maybe replace fan and or defrosting fan?
Air has to flow through the shroud in order for the freezer to get cold. If the shroud is packed with ice, that's why nothing in the freezer is frozen. You could also have a bad fan, in that the motor may have burned up by not being able to turn because of the ice, but you have to solve the ice problem or you could burn up another fan motor. Pause the video right at 2:25, and look at the bottom and sides of the coil. You will see a black 'tube' looking thing. This is the defroster element. These go bad fairly frequently, and it would definitely cause ice to build up on the coil and fan shroud. It looks like they range in price between $50-$100 US depending on the model. Here's a video of replacing the one in the refrigerator. Same idea for the freezer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bPJM0TCaQDg.html
Thank you! This makes a lot of sense both of my fans are not working 13a&12 so I’ll be replacing those two motors and the defrosting element because I just took everything apart and melted the ice build up but it’s still not cold enough and is built up again
I appreciate the video man, I just changed my 2007 crv pump this morning with an OEM reman unit. Wrestled the belt on and off from the top haha. Did you have to bleed air out of yours after installation?
Depends on how much fluid you lost, when you refill and start the car the fluid level will drop and you turn the wheel from left to right until it stays level.
The first time I did it took me about 6 hours because I was having to figure out what all needed to come off and how to get to the various bolts. The second time when I made this video took me about 3 hours start to finish.
If you keep having icing issues, you probably have a bad defroster element. Here's how to replace the one in the refrigerator, but it's the same idea for the one for the freezer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bPJM0TCaQDg.html
Thank for making me take my tire out for no reason I was able to do it with out taking out and you must be hulk because the pulley isn’t that easy to take off
I heard it was a good idea to vaccum the power steering pump after installation. refill the reservoir and place vaccum fitting where the cap goes . and using a hand vacuum pump that is also used to bleed brakes.
Video will help when I change mine.. thank you. What brand replacement PSP is holding up over time? Other than OEM new ($1k) or Reman (over $550 from Honda,) I haven’t read many positive comments regarding parts store (AA, Napa, etc.) or online (Rock Auto, Amazon, etc.) replacements. ????? Thanks again
I think I got this one from AutoZone. Prices are up from what I remember, but even at $180, you could do this job 5 times and still be in it for less than one OEM pump.
Hey MM, Great video, looking forward to following this to fix my "can of marbles". My sound started under the passenger side, it got worse with time and now sounds like the rattling can of marbles is right dead center of the console. When the car is jacked, wheels off, i put her in drive, slowly let the wheels roll, hit breaks, the entire motor and tranny jerk back and fourth several inches. Pretty sure these mounts are my problem! Looking into the torque mounts too now. Thanks again for the vid, the comments were super helpful too!
