Although the episode was scrapped there’s still remains of this idea left in other episodes like The Doctor dances Rose “looks at you beaming away like you’re Father Christmas” Doctor: who says I’m not, red bicycle when you were twelve” Rose: *visible shock*
okay but... in the devils chord he describes his soul was torn in half, this dialogue suggests Ncuti isn't whole, so it logically follows that the 2 are literally split
The Wilf parts of the episode were filmed a month before he died, he was supposed to take part in it but didn’t because of the decline in his health, two complete separate events
I did like RTD because he was responsible for bringing back DW, but I’m not struck on some of his more infantile moments (Slitheen - fart jokes etc). Moffat has written some of the best stories & created the most memorable villains of the modern era. Chibnall lost me from the start. I liked a couple of episodes (Rosa/Demons of the Punjab) but mostly the others were, at best, decent filler stories (Witchfinders/It Takes You Away), & at worst just not very memorable (series 12), culminating in the incomprehensible series 13. Now that we have the era of RTD2 I’m hoping to get less singing goblins & typical RTD showboating stuff & more Boom, 73 yards & Dot & Bubble. Whilst I understand that DW has always been a show for all the family to watch I hope RTD can drop some of the puerile elements & give us some good stories, interesting characters (& by that I don’t mean having “representation” rammed down our throats), & some genuine scary/creepy elements. So in conclusion I’d say Moffat is King, TRD is Queen, & Chibnall the Baron Bomburst of DW.
After rewatching this video I’ve spent the last hour and a half going through Classic Who to see if any companions or side characters had did the circuit, unfortunately I found no Classic companion. However Chang Lee from the TV movie did do it, he wasn’t a companion but he did do a circuit.
