Hi Tom. You should apply for the one in the association of the country you live in. However, keep in mind that it is quite pricey, and there is a lot of competition for the A License, so they may reject your application. Nonetheless, it's advisable to keep applying
I took my B License with the FA. I had to do what is now called a C License before I could take the B. We had to keep a coaching Log with our sessions through the season. The assessment was on a Phase of play and 8v8. My phase of play was defending and by 8v8 was counter attack. It has all changed now at the FA.
Hi, can you make a video with strength and conditioning weekly training according with Tactial Periodization? Is not very clear what strength coach have to do. In your video you described very well what football coach have to do.
@@PerformanceinFootball thanks. Do football clubs also look to see if you have any sort of experience in football clubs doing other roles, or do they just look at the qualifications
@@Jacksafc08 For sure they also look for experience in other clubs, which makes it very problematic for a newcomer. Typically you have to start in a low division club in order to get hired by a bigger club with time
Is it important to study these courses in Europe . Or can we study exercise science or any other sports related degree from a university in our country. Also is it necessary for the degree to be sport related or can it be something like business or finance . Some insight would be greatly appreciated
Not necessarily in Europe. Just remember about internship and whether the university provides it. It still can be quite difficult to land a job in football after a degree, but internship may be very helpful. If it is business or finance, you can land a job in a football club, but not the one related to football performance. It can be marketing expert, operations or finance manager, etc
@@PerformanceinFootball I see so the main reason behind recommending the university route is networking I suppose? But I can still be a manager if I’ve done my coaching badges but studied finance like Sarri. Although I guess it might take longer to reach the top without the contacts
@@PerformanceinFootball I had one more question. Some universities like Real Madrid’s in Spain offer an MBA in sports management. Is that something that would help you in your coaching career? According to their website they also offer internships directly with the club
It's not a mistake. You as a coach decide how to press. Most important is that your ideas are transmitted to your players by appropriate explanation and coaching
@@victorotti5271 It doesn't matter, really. But I personally would say that going for a degree first maybe more advantageous, since there you study some basics like sport psychology, for example, while many aspects of the UEFA License courses are based on sport psychology. So, it may be better if you understand why exactly they coach this way during the UEFA License course and not the other
No, it's a different role that requires different skills. You may watch the "Performance Analysis in Football" video on this channel to get to know the responsibilities of a performance analyst
Undortunately, there are no free courses. You can, however, get one at the discount by using the following link: www.udemy.com/course/become-professional-football-coach/?couponCode=259B4867020EF37EE8D7
Really appreciate your interest, Michael. I will consider making such a video in the future. As a quick tip for now, you will need a Sport Management degree for this
@@PerformanceinFootball In the final part of the video, you said you will give a link for coaches that only have UEFA license, if you dont have any links to professional footballers/coaches/clubs
Seems like the "Monitor de Fútbol" certificate first and then the UEFA C License: rfef.es/es/formacion/proceso-solicitud-entrenador-futbol-licencias-uefa
Unfortunately, you need to be in Europe during the UEFA License course. I would recommend that you obtain the CAF License through your local association instead
