Listen to the song here in my heart A melody I start but can't complete Listen to the sound from deep within It's only beginning to find release Oh the time has come for my dreams to be heard They will not be pushed aside and turned Into your own, all 'cause you won't listen Listen I am alone at a crossroads I'm not at home in my own home And I've tried and tried To say what's on my mind You should have known oh Now I'm done believing you You don't know what I'm feeling I'm more than what You've made of me I followed the voice, you gave to me But now I've gotta find my own You should have listened There was someone here inside Someone I thought had died So long ago Oh I'm screaming out And my dreams will be heard They will not be pushed aside or worse Into your own All 'cause you won't listen Listen I am alone at a crossroads I'm not at home in my own home And I've tried and tried To say what's on my mind You should have known oh Now I'm done believing you You don't know what I'm feeling I'm more than what You've made of me I followed the voice, you gave to me But now I've gotta find my own I don't know where I belong But I'll be moving on If you don't, if you won't Listen to the song here in my heart A melody I start, but I will complete Now I am done believing you You don't know not what I am feeling I'm more than what you've made of me I followed the voice you think you gave to me But now I got to find my own My Own
What is the bricks and the steps made out of including like the doors and the hinges for it and how did the set get made in general why don't you make a video about how the Set is made
I've watched this dozens of times and I'm still yet to find a better cover. Flawless vocals. All exceptional, but the girl on the left has a mind blowingly serene and beautiful tone 😍
Wow! That “I owe” was especially awesome! In my opinion, as a woman, I think it’s really cool that a guy did this song because this song is about removing yourself from a dangerous relationship consisting of toxic manipulation and doing what you have to because you know it in your gut, even though it’s a hard decision. And that, can happen to anyone.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this song being performed or by which people, I always cry at "and the one thing I love more than anything was used as the bomb." It's just so haunting.
New subscriber here! I live in America & won’t get to see this before it closes. Slowly making my way through the cast recording on RU-vid and I love Carrie Hope Fletcher’s voice. Thanks for the review. I am also subscribed to the Facebook page!
Tbh I was quite surprised a Theatre appreciation group didn't already know this stuff!!! Also, for those wanting to go into the backstage side.....I did a stage management degree at drama school in the 90s.......& of the 25ish people in my year, less than a quarter are actually working in the theatre!!!!!!!! Good luck for those who do, but, thats the reality.
Aside from the fact that they can actually sing, they are NOT for these characters! I hope to be surprised by them, but I believe they will ruin the movie! Sorry, but they have nothing to do with the characters!
Yo, can we really talk about it? (4:23) the only black person in the history of Wicked to play Elphaba full time that wasn’t a standby or an understudy was Alexia Kahadime. Lowkey, the UK is better at representation than here in New York.
regarding ariana's acting, though I have a slight bias since I am a huge fan, I feel like she would be able to deliver on Glinda's complexity in the second half. since she may be able to channel her real life experiences into the role (since she has lost a lot) she'll be able to play that with everything Glinda is going through and losing love wise in the second half
I do not agree with your opinion about John Legend. He put his soul into that performance and his voice was beautiful. His voice wasn't suppose to be cookie to other performances. Why look at the show if your expecting the same thing.
Reading some of the reviews I must be a real misery saw Cinderella in October Cinderella was played by the understudy she was brilliant what a voice Hated the fairy godmother could not hear prince Sebastian spoke so soft Best thing was the stepmother she was very good
The Godmother role is so underwritten and it made no sense to me when i saw it. She literally walks across the stage in Act 2 just to give Sebastian the necklace that she desperately wanted at the end of Act 1. Gloria Onitiri is woefully underused.
i agree. arianas hairspray performance was mid. i am holding out hope tho because i know she loves wicked and will want to do well and she also is friends with kristin chenowith who has said she will be guiding ariana. i think it can go either way. hope its good tho
Age and playing age are two very different things. You can be 50 and still play a student if you’re skin allows. Dear Evan Hansen remains a school student throughout and Elphaba goes on a journey to become a woman. So the two aren’t comparative
EXACTLY!!! If I'm going to see Wicked or Hairspray, I want to see Wicked or Hairspray. I do not want to see an Ariana Grande concert. Also, Joel Grey needs to be cast as the Wizard. Needs to happen.
My only issue with the casting it’s the age gap. Ariana looks much younger for a girl her age, and Cynthia doesn’t pass as a teenager. So together the age gap looks bigger than what it is really. But with makeup and special effects I think they could work it out.
Honestly I feel the same about Ariana being cast, I don't hate her and she obviously is talented enough to sing Galinda's part... the acting though, that's what limits me from geeking out, I've seen people use her performance on Hairspray Live as evidence for her to being the right choice and I really didn't enjoyed it at all, hope she proves me wrong
I totally agree! Cynthia is going to be freaking amazing. Ariana Grande, her voice is great but whenever I’ve seen her in any acting role it’s just Ariana Grande in different clothes. I’ve not seen her be a great actress yet. Fingers crossed though!
Not only about being a strong black female lead, but I'm glad they also went with an Androgynous woman to be Elphaba. Because in the older original stories of Oz, the Wicked Witch contained both feminine and very masculine energies which made her so terrifying.
ariana is gonna be really good she started on broadway and she loves the wicked since she was kid .I understand people being worry about her acting but she is working with Nancy banks acting coach who worked with margot robbie, emma stone, so she gonna do fine
