I am considering relocating from the US. Can you share what the housing market is like in your area, and what governmental obstacles I might encounter to acquire permanent residency.
PG is the place where dreams go to die. There is no reason to move here, and these overpriced show homes are just one more reason to stay where you are........
if real estate dropped by say 50% for starters it would be a more accurate reflection of what PG is really worth. And I being generous here, more like 66% would be even closer to true value.
@@consolegamerz3856 I work out of country, from what I heard the job scene scarce, most business’s are now owned by immigrants which leads to only hiring other immigrants or those of the same race, due to language barriers mostly. It really depends what field, there’s always industrial work in PG, it’s getting into anything else that could be difficult, not only that wages in PG don’t typically match our cost of living, if you wanna be middle class you have to be rich, and anyone making a decent gross income isn’t staying in PG, for example I make roughy $4000 a month on average and still have tight months, although I do choose to live out of my means! Compared to most cities in Canada PG is fairly affordable with rent recently coming down, it’s a lot easier to find places now because so, through out the last year the minimum rent cost was about $1500 you can now find 1 bedroom places for about $1000 which is a major difference, lots of new apartments being built and there’s always a new subdivision being out somewhere, overall the quality of life isn’t horrible if you stay away from downtown, although our crime rate is extremely high and it’s a bit of an adjustment, you can leave anything out or unlocked, your doors and windows must always be locked, it’s common to have bars on your windows in the VLA, and definitely not a place you wanna walk around without knowing how to defend yourself! I feel safer walking around nearly any city than Prince George. And within 2024 there has been another huge uptick in crime, with us already having the highest crime rate in the nation that is a very bad look, on a side note Prince George has hardly grown at all in the past 50 years, it has a bloom in the 70’s and then just stopped growing, coming into 2023 we got back on track and we are back to a stable growth rate. Which is nice and all but due to Prince George being a vehicle dependent city the traffic is now atrocious. I could go on if you’d like! Lived here almost my entire life and have always been fascinated by the city’s lack of growth! So please feel free to ask whatever!
Hi, I am planning to move to Prince George with my family. However, I wanted to know how safe it is to raise the family there considering high crime rate. Also, could you please send me the link for your moving guide to Prince George. Thank you

How is it for living there innthe winters? How cold does it get on average? How mobility friendly is it for people with mobility issues? How is the rental market for renters?
Con #1 The pulp polution smell. Con #2 The high security prison being the first landmark coming from the east Con #3 The downtown homeless problem that gets worse on a daily basis. ......oh, and is it still the murder capital of Canada?
Visiting PG from Vancouver and came across this video ... please help me to understand when you mentioned about fresh air ... were you being sarcastic because air in PG really stinks ... 3 pulp mills right in the city ....
