I've always liked Travolta. He was never into that "typical Hollywood Scum" scene. Just feels like a down to earth guy. Having grown up on Long Island, I can confidently say that portraying a gangster is no easy feat. There has to be a certain kind of mindset there which is near impossible to explain to outsiders.
I can see her leaving Hedonist Hollywood behind, but she reportedly has relocated with her husband to an upstate New York shack with no neighbors and virtually no modern amenities while living off a garden. A bit too extreme for my taste.
James Woods is one of the greatest actors in the cinema history period! He is extremely talented, powerful, versatile, and passionate! My favorite film by him is ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA. He was absolutely incredible in that role and earned his position as one of the greatest actors in gangster film genre. He's also a client at my job, and he's a first-class gentleman! He made my dream come true when he took time off on his busy schedule to sign my priceless novel called The Hoods by Harry Grey, which director Sergio Leone used for his film ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA. Long live the legend of James Woods!
What a classic movie & as you point out, extremely relevant. I'm older & saw it as a kid. Re-watched it several times now. Boy, they understood climate change back then. The vast divide between rich & poor & misogyny. I consider it a must watch. Thank you, just found yoyr channel.
Dana attended high school at Carlmont high school where he was also in Mr. Whip's drama class. He was two years behind me there! Have him tell you also about what he may know about Ken Ortega, who graduated from Sequoia high school in Redwood City.
