Who wouldn't love Chow Yun Fat, he's not only handsome, charming, tough, talented , one of the most bankable richest celebrity in HK but his Generosity and Humility is quite admirable !! you can see it on his character, how he talks and projects himself to people that he worked with, and how he like helping other people , making them cry and be happy , and how he shared his knowledge about film making...BTW, his English is excellent !!! He deserved to win this lifetime achievement award more than any person in the entire film industry...I have huge respect honor love and admiration for CYF since I started watching his old films as a kid ..... I have been a huge admirer of this man in films for over 35 years; I have the utmost respect for Mr Chow as a fantastic and wonderful human being. He has been an inspiration to me.
I really miss my channel AZN... So many good memories and my introduction to Korean dramas, Japanese soaps, and Chinese movies. It introduced me to not only a lot of East Asian cinema but some gems from Southeast Asia.
It took place between the age of 35 to 55. Imo that is when a man is at his best.To be honest I should extend that to 65 for him. That man still has it going on.
@zacuh17 The debate there could be that a lot of people refer to Tarantino as a "genius" for ideas that he himself didn't actually conceive, and that you aren't really brilliant if you just rearrange the story, regardless of if he acknowledges it.
@Y2Kuttah Dude, Tarantino doesn't "steal". He says it himself all of the time "I take from everyone movie ever made". He is simply homaging it, and than rearranging the story in a way that is different than before with different actors and different dialog. So the last sentence in you're comment is immature. Grow up.
i have to watch more of his movies. He is AWESOME! and i really enjoyed Fuqua's Broklynn's FInest. really fine directing. Also, Tarantino is definatly one of the finest filmmakers in the industry. i can't wait to see what else he has in store. sadly i haven't seen Pirates. :(
@LivingIn1969 He only took ideas from the east that wasnt excepted only cos they were done by asians but as soon as a westerner do it they accepted it, this is the kind of racism and prejudices asians have faced for decades..
@Y2Kuttah Thats what they do, even rap music was done in Hong Kong first, but the blacks picked it up and past it on as their own creation. and drum and bass was inspired by the drum beats of the chinese lion dance!
