NX takes slightly sharper footage due to its natural FHD resolution, but the difference is not as great as the price difference between this good old tape fellow and its solid state descendant...)
in earlier shots the fx1 has nicer highlights and color rendition, but in later shots the nx100 has much better highlights and color rendition. i donno
The HXR-NX100 shoots 1080p whereas the HDR-FX1 shoots 1080i. It's difficult to fully accept the comparison presented here without knowing whether or not the HDR-FX1 footage was deinterlaced prior to being uploaded to RU-vid. And if it was deinterlaced... how? There can be a very wide range in image quality depending on which method of deinterlacing has been selected.
Thanks for sharing this clip from the NX100. Who is this fabulous violinist!? Any links to more of his performances, or the name of the band or show he was part of? Thank you.
This looked great! First thing I've seen from the NX100 that looked like it was from a real job, while also being shot well. Are you familiar much with the Panasonic AC130? If so, how do you think these two compare?
The camera looks very capable indeed, though I suspect the stage is rather more brightly lit than those I am used to - a followspot is a rare luxury! I am so sorely tempted by this camera. There seems to be a bit of rolling shutter evidence in the blue flares - in the early stages some of the banding seems to be due to actual lighting gobo beams (at least in part) but the strobing at 0:52 would seem to be showing some roll. Fortunately on the sort of humble stages I film, strobes are also a rare luxury! Out of interest, how was the sound captured? I'm assuming on-camera but if that is the internal mic I would be particularly impressed!
+Kwame Acheampong the nx100 for sure!!! Panasonic ag-ac90 is too dark (sensors too small) and the x70 has autofocus issues on dark and no immegiate manual controls of zoom, focus and iris. those are my 2p
Hi, I like very much of this comparation.I have a 5 years old sony HDR-AX2000, and i want to compare with the NX100...Do you think it's worth to change the AX2000 for the NX100, or the AX2000 is not outdated yet?thanks.
+Myshotswedding Snapshot comparisons between the FX1 and NX100 comes a few days to get into the city and captured. But I filmed excerpts of a TV show and I must say that I am very happy over the captured image. The only thing is: P I need to get the hang of razoreditvijo keys to work in the dark and without looking to achieve an immediate response. Otherwise very happy with the camera and I can say that it is worth to change the FX1, because until now I have not yet convinced by any of the cameras in this action. I have decided that we will collectively acquire 8 pieces. Recordings but as I said the following in a few days. Greetings
+Myshotswedding I enclose you a link to a little more than a minute of video from the concert. All were at automation in this part of the testing of the camera.
