I don't do not believe you. I just think you should put your sources somewhere. In the German community there's a discussion going on that was brought up by an Austrian nutritionist called Niko Rittenau. He was pro vegan back then, now he's not ex-vegan but he openly says that in a long run a well-balanced vegan diet doesn't have any advantages compared to a well-balanced omnivore diet. I was vegan for 7 years and it gradually reduced my quality of life without me realizing it. And the reason being is: It happens so gradually you don't even effin realize it! It's happens so slowly and affects your mood and you'll just be thinking "Life is hard"! Noo, life is not hard. Your diet is hard. Because it's bad. It's not giving you the nutrients that your body needs in adequate amounts which individual for everybody. Anyways, could go on rambling so much more about my experiences when I was on a vegan diet that I just came to comprehend now that I've started eating meat and eggs again. Greetings from Berlin, Germany :)

I think this is why I couldn't get into sports as a teenager. Never ran a mile without collapsing before the end of it. Tried doing it a few times a week one summer on top of doing irish dance for a couple years. Was decent at soccer but couldn't run like everyone else and I could never get "more fit" by working out. I'm so excited to try fitness after my infusions

Heme Iron is the type of iron found in all animal flesh, including fish. Plants have a different kind of iron, generally bound to Phytate (IP6). The human absorbs much more Heme Iron into the bloodstream and it does so much faster. We used to think this was why it is was superior to plant iron. Now we know the exact opposite is true. We based our recommendations on the assumed “better” Heme Iron, but now we realize we have been recommending WAY too much of it and too often. The plants had it right the whole time, much lower absorption is better. Heme Iron can cause too rapid an increase in blood levels of iron, causing the liver to secrete a chemical called hepcidin, to STOP heme iron from entering our bloodstream “reducing subsequent iron absorption by 35-45%”. This can cause the Heme Iron to build up in our digestive tract, where it can oxidize (think of it as iron rusting) and become carcinogenic. Studies have shown a direct correlation between Heme Iron intake and colon cancer, the #2 Cancer Killer of Americans. We even know exactly how Heme Iron does this: How Animal Heme Iron Causes Cancer: Study: Heme iron from meat and risk of colorectal cancer: a meta-analysis and a review of the mechanisms involved Link: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21209396/ “…heme iron has a catalytic effect on (1) the endogenous formation of carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds and (2) the formation of cytotoxic and genotoxic aldehydes by lipoperoxidation. …both pathways are involved in heme iron toxicity.” Heme Iron damages both cells (cytotoxic) and DNA (genotoxic), which can produce cancer cells. Those with highest consumption of heme iron had up to 32% increased risk of colon cancer. The good news is Plant Iron can’t oxidize because it is safely bound to a powerful anti-oxidant. In a wonderful symbiotic relationship, our body sends chemical messages to our gut microbiome to tell them when and how much iron we need, then the microbes cleave of the phytic acid and release the iron into the bloodstream, helping to regulate our blood iron levels and maintain a healthy homeostasis. But wait, there’s more great news about Plant Iron! And it’s even a more important reason plant source Phytate-bound Iron is better… Plant Phytate-bound Iron can protect, prevent and even reverse Cancer cells back to healthy cells! How Plant (IP6 Bound) Iron Prevents and Reverses Cancer: Study: Cancer inhibition by inositol hexaphosphate (IP6) and inositol: from laboratory to clinic Link: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14608114/ "A striking anticancer effect of IP6 was demonstrated in different experimental models. In addition to reducing cell proliferation (reducing cancer cell growth), IP6 increases differentiation of malignant cells, often resulting in a reversion to normal phenotype (converting cancer cells back to healthy cells). Exogenously administered IP6 is rapidly taken into the cells and dephosphorylated to lower-phosphate inositol phosphates, which further interfere with signal transduction pathways and cell cycle arrest (killing cancer cells). Enhanced immunity and antioxidant properties can also contribute to tumor cell destruction." Study: Dietary suppression of colonic cancer. Fiber or phytate? Link: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2990653/ “Herein, the authors propose that inhibition of intracolonic hydroxyl radical generation, via the chelation of reactive iron by phytic acid, may help explain the suppression of colonic carcinogenesis and other inflammatory bowel diseases by diets rich in phytic acid.” So by feeding plants to animals before eating them, we are quite literally converting Cancer Preventing Plant Iron into Cancer-Causing Heme Iron. To summarize: 1. Heme Iron is only found in animal flesh and all animals (cows, pigs, sheep, fish, fowl, etc.) 2. Heme Iron is not present in any plants at all. 3. Heme Iron is shown to increase risk of Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke and Diabetes 4. Plant source (IP6 bound) Iron is shown to reverse Cancer cells back to healthy cells! "Vegetarians who eat a varied and well-balanced diet are not at any greater risk of iron deficiency anemia than non-vegetarians." www.mja.com.au/.../199/4/iron-and-vegetarian-diets

To simplify: 1. Ferroptosis (Ferr = Iron, -optosis = cell death). 2. Heme Iron causes Ferroptosis. 3. Dietary Heme Iron only comes from animal flesh. 4. Plants make non-heme iron, bound to antioxidants (preventing oxidation). 5. Free Heme Iron can oxidize, damaging cells or killing them (ferroptosis) 6. Ferroptosis can damage/destroy beta cells that produce insulin causing insulin insufficiency. This means Glucose can not be efficiently transported into cells for use, resulting in Type 2 Diabetes. If too much damage to beta cells occurs, the result is potentially permanent Type 1 Diabetes. 7. Ferroptosis can also damage mitochondria in muscle, liver and fat cells causing insulin resistance. This also means Glucose can not be efficiently transported into cells for use, resulting in Type 2 Diabetes. Heme Iron can cause Ferroptosis (iron induced cell death), leading to Type 2 Diabetes: Sept. 2024 Lancet Meta-Analysis Study: Meat consumption and incident type 2 diabetes: an individual-participant federated meta-analysis of 1.97 million adults with 100,000 incident cases from 31 cohorts in 20 countries Link: doi.org/10.1016/s2213-8587(24)00179-7 “The consumption of meat, particularly processed meat and unprocessed red meat, is a risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes across populations.” 2023 Study: Iron metabolism and ferroptosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus and complications: mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities Link: doi.org/10.1038/s41419-023-05708-0 "Nowadays, ferroptosis, an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death, has become increasingly recognized as an important process to mediate the pathogenesis and progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). It has been shown that ferroptosis in pancreas β cells leads to decreased insulin secretion; and ferroptosis in the liver, fat, and muscle induces insulin resistance." Of the two major pathways of T2D: 1) Insufficient insulin production 2) Cellular insulin resistance Animal Heme Iron induced Ferroptosis causes BOTH!

Dr. Matt in need your help. We live in Illinois my girlfriend had a iron infusion September 10 of ferric carboxymaltose 750mg in sodium chloride .9%ml. After the first of two she told them it made it painful in her knees. After the second infusion on the September 17 the pain was worse. We had a appointment already scheduled with our orthopedic doctor she told about the pain and what it was from he gave her a cortisone shot in both knees this made it worse. Shots on September 18. As of then she has only been on her feet on time and regretted that because of the severe pain after. Today is October 15. Can you make any since why this would happen. No can explain why here. With regards to pesticide etc. residues in food ... as someone who used to take LSD ("Acid") it was said that this substance is so active that it's extraordinary hallucinatory effects were produced by just a "few molecules" getting into the brain. To what extent, I wonder, is our mental health being subtly effected by ultra-minute amounts of psychoactive contaminants in our food? Recent studies have claimed that Sucralose can have a negative effect on one's thinking, possibly caused by a barely detectable contaminant from the manufacturing process ... and that this effect may be responsible for the rise of conspiracy theory thinking. Research has claimed that people who use Stevia tend to be less inclined to engage in "dream-like thinking" than people who use Sucralose. (As people who consume too much sugar are also prone to dream-like thinking the effect of Sucralose may actually be caused by the fact that it is "too sweet"?).
