They said it should be a matter of weeks until they get the road re-opened and I believe them. In Colorado, a massive boulder blocked the road a few years ago. Several days later the boulder was blasted and the road was re-opened. Meanwhile, here in Hawaii, the roads that were obstructed by lava in 2918 remain obstructed. They are doing studies, environmental impact statements, and taking a "wait and see" approach. We need an infusion of some get it done cowboy blood. Beaurocracy is lethargy.
Everyone looks so happy talking abouit this mans death. The lady witness with the camera, the psychiatrist...all so full of joy and smiles thinking about the incident.
🤔<(...and yet...isn't the government literally showing us what they can be easily distracted by...while allowing a hole of vulnerability elsewhere?!)💡 💡 💡

the scary thing about suicide by falling from a height is people often change their minds on the way down. but it’s too late to stop; all you can do is hope you survive the fall. Sounds terrifying. hopefully this guy didn’t experience that/the fall was too short for that to happen. ofc the best case would’ve been if he wasn’t suicidal in the first place, but obviously that’s not what happened here
Everyone has an opinion, but the truth is bound to come out in time. Personally I think an accident occurred, that would have pointed to some kind of negligence, resulting in this babies death. In watching the documentary, I do not believe the father at all. You can see it in his eyes. It was probably his idea to cover things up, and mom probably regrets agreeing to it. It is really sad for everyone involved, because I can’t imagine living with that lie and repeating it for the rest of your life. Even if it was never found out, they would have to live with the guilt of the event and the fear of the truth one day coming out. I bet they buried him deep in the woods with an unrecognizable grave marker, in a place that only they know about.
For some reason I always thought a cougar got him. It's a stealthy efficient predator that naturally hides its prey. The area does have cougars. Sad no trace of him for all this time.
Even if he had lived, he would have been in serious pain from the fall. Broken bones are excruciatingly painful and take months to heal. He could have fallen on a pedestrian below. The park could have fined him and banned him. Foolishness with a heavy price.
The fact Chad and Lori were permitted _any_ communication at all, even through attorneys or relatives, while the case(s) was pending, is astounding. Supposedly, Death Row inmates do -not- have contact with other inmates.
I feel so bad for the man, but doing that in front of children was reckless and incredibly selfish. I really hope those children are doing alright and even the adults who saw what happened. Tragic incident.
