If you do want to start Blackbird soon, we are starting her as a SAL on Nov 8th! It will be a blast! I use a laying tool on all my fancy ladies :) makes a huge difference
I literally squealed when Aimee pulled out Red Deer Sampler by GiGiR. Fabulous choice. I am almost to the center flowers! Stitching on a crazy piece of fabric, 1001 Nights by Xjudesigns with Vicky Clayton Silks. All three of you are quite talented and creative, and a joy to watch. Caroline, chef’s kiss to your quilts! Thanks for keeping me company. ❤❤
Wow those quilts are amazing!!! I put myself on a no-buy til the end of the year cuz i just have SO much to stitch, but the second i saw lindy stitches post w the new artay housewife pices i had to break my rule and immediately ordered Lit. Soo ill reinstate my no buy after i kit that up 😜 Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Happy to see someone else who cannot stitch in the midst of clutter!!! Just so happened I was sorting and stashing my supplies while watching! Fairly new here to your tube - where are you that has volcanoes - eeeekkkkk.....!
OMG! I’m watching Amanda MacNaughton’s Flosstube Special and at first glance I thought it was Elizabeth’s clown… I paused; 5:12 in.. It has to be the same artist!!! I laughed so hard, I almost fell off the couch!!!!
Caroline, you quilts looked sensational!!! Especially liked the one for Josh… it’s sooo good. I’ve been thinking of doing some resin pieces too. I wanted to try out something like a little stitched needle minder first but I haven’t found anything to use for a mould yet. I thought a tray would be cool too… or the inside of a wooden box…. So many possibilities ❤
I’d love to see you using the laying tool Elizabeth…it’s hard to imagine how it would work. I didn’t know you should do confetti first either, so thanks for the info. ❤
I have a signed copy of A Lullaby for Witches by Hester Fox, but I haven't read it yet. Maybe I should for the spooky season. I love the Artsy Housewife charts. They are on my wishlist. I really want the reindeer.Reindeer. Those quilts are awesome! I never thought of doing panels. I've always tied quilts. I'll make patchwork tops. Then sandwich them with the batting and the backing. But to quilt it all together, I use yarn and tie knots every few inches. That's just how I was taught. I'd love to learn how to machine quilt.
I clasped my hands together in glee at the flosstube #15 notification - I started watching before work and left my little dog watching the rest until I got home from work. Yippeee - gorgeous work as always - I am in awe
Another fantastic video. Might you consider showing in more detail how you use the laying tool and its advantages? I’ve heard about them but am a bit mystified about how they work. Thanks for sharing your stitching and knowledge.
Love the Haunted Mansion vibes of your dress! iykyk And I love you ladies in general! I put off the start of my work day to watch all of your video. I’m a quilter too so I appreciate the addition of quilts into your flosstube
I want to start that sprouting lupine so much and now I have gone down a Hester Fox wormhole at the library so excited about that! Also that Chinelle It, I have two rolls of but I didn't really get it but NOW I do so thank you so much for sharing Caroline, those projects are amazing! I know there is more I wanted to say but y'all always make me laugh so an upload is always welcome, happy stitching
On the pollinators how do you stitch the pattern when it is split in the middle of the pattern? Do you make copies and tape them together? What fabric and count did you use? On the butterflies what fabric and count did you use for that pattern? Thank you.
There are a couple of different methods you can use over page splits. Some of them have shaded areas where you can see a bit of the previous page and mark off what you’ve done. Personally I like to glue my patterns into one Mega Page. It looks silly, but I find that my counting errors tend to happen on page breaks, so eliminating them is what works best for me. The moths are on 32 count malachite by fiber on a whim.
Me a lesbian, wondering how both my wife and I were unaware of a lesbian vampire genre in movies....... closest I have ever seen was watching the Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 😅😅
OMG that Malachite fabric is gorgeous! Just want to let anyone know who does not have an LNS that 123stitch does custom cut fabric. Just email them what you need and they will give you a quote on the cost and send you an invoice.
Is it possible to show how you use your laying tool? I have the same type of tool but I find it very awkward to use because I stitch in hand and I feel like I don’t have enough hands Your work is beautiful!
It sounds like I need to do another video! The hardest part for me was figuring out which finger to wear it on. I thought middle would be best, but I landed on index. Good luck!
Thank you for the great time!! I busted out laughing my husband asked what are you watching? So fun. I have the Peter Pan panel and your idea is fantastic. Must order the Chanel it now. Thank you!
@@Elizabeth-pj5if So fun! Thank y’all again! I live in very southern Ga. lost power two weeks ago. Still no power. We are thankful we have our house. Also I guess I can’t spell. Chenille it.
I squealed when I saw you posted a video. Beautiful projects! The moth over moons is my fave. I've been stitching for 35 years and have never heard of a laying tool. That thing looks like a death trap. I definitely could not be trusted to use it.
Thank you! It’s been so fun to stitch! Hahaa, I was so worried she was going to poke her eye out while we were filming just casually gesturing with it. I couldn’t be trusted with it either.
Hell yeh! Woot woot! Once you start playing hide and go quilt, there’s no going back! Welcome to the dark side! Loved y’all’s video and it was great to see ya!
You’re gonna be there in no time! I can’t wait to see your quilting style! I always thought quilting was for an older generation until I had my first run-in with one of Tula Pink’s lines. The rest his history! 😂 now I’m just a total quilt junkie with no regrets.
@@Threadgremlins it starts with a throw size and then you decide you are ready for a king sized Lonestar… 😬 Isn’t it the best! I love me some geometry! 🤣
Yes! It’s called a trolley needle. I bought mine at my local embroidery shop, but a quick search shows they’re also at 123 stitch and Joann’s. Mine was $9.00. How to use it would make a great floss tube extra! Hopefully I’ll have time next week. :)
Elizabeth is crushing it with the sassy vixen look! The necklace is amazing. All the stitches were so fun to see again. Been waiting for your flosstube to come out! 🎉
