if the problem is from more pressure on the power button you can fix it by seperating the two membranes that have the graphite lines gently under the power button key(maybe joined together, microscope needed for this to do it right), if the problem is from fluids then this, or replace the keyboard :P

Need Help from motherboard experts. My Dell e7470 was damged from dock area. All motherboard is working fine and laptop is booting but the dock area gets very hot and spark. I don't want to dock in my laptop. Is there any way that i can disconnect the dock area from power. The dock area is a separated slice in motherboard.

Hi , correct troubleshooting. Did the same thing except scratching the contact pads and the small circular spring contactor. I only used IPA + cotton stick to clean the oxidation. Button works like new.
