What an outstanding interview and support offered by Jackie and Michele, the Health and Wellness Coaches available at Thrive Physical Therapy. I appreciate the distinction between “ counseling “ which usually involves a past problem versus “Health and Wellness Coaching”where the coaches help the client navigate where they want to be going forward. There is no judgement or negative self talk. It may involve many small steps to accomplish a vision but each step is a milestone going forward. Very empowering! Thank you.
This is the best explanation of what a life program for health and physical activity I’ve seen. Kudos to Clarke and his team for creating, teaching and living this program!
o o I encourage you to do a vector analysis of the forces that the femoral head put on the pelvic bone and how this displaces the lumbar vertebrae and the back problems you are inviting in this movement This isn't a" functional" movement I would ever encourage anybody to do . Every orthopedic surgeon I know would cringe at this. I hope you don't have a license to practice
Thank you for discussing the myth about functional decline in 50+ age individuals. Remaining active helps keep your body moving properly. Not that we won’t have aches and pains but knowing we don’t have to stop because it is too much for our age is important. I have had people comment on my physicality. BUT when they find out my age, it usually is followed by do you think that is good for you (at your age)? I usually Smile and say, if I don’t use it, I will lose it, so best to keep challenging myself! Thrive has given me the courage and mindfulness to strive for my body to be its best after a bad injury. Keep up your informative videos. It is nice to see your de-masked faces again!
I've benefitted from Thrive's Life Coaching program by overcoming obstacles to my competitive tennis goals. Worked with Clarke for rehab, but the Life Coaching provided insights into my thought processess that got in the way of successful, championship tennis. With my life coach, I set a goal for the intersectionals, win 75% of my singles matches, in Florida in November and achieved it! Would not have had the same success without Margaret and the Life Coaching program. I'm grateful.
Feel like you were talking to me.. I agree mindset is key in the process of healing in conjunction with the help of health care providers. No matter how positive I have been I couldn’t have gotten over my drop foot without your help.😊

It is much easier to hear on an iPad. I'm guessing same would be true for a smartphone. I like replaying the video because it is a good way to confirm alignment.
