We have 2 properties in south-east Queensland Australia, which we purchased for the sole purpose of flora and fauna conservation.

One property is 400 acres, located 10km west of Leyburn, Queensland Australia. This property is comprised entirely of old growth native scrub on sand soil. Our only objective with this property is to retain the native bushland and to protect it from feral animals and weed invasion.

The other property is 80 acres, and includes some riparian areas on the Thanes Creek 10km east of Leyburn. This property is severely degraded, having been cleared and grazed in a thoroughly irresponsible manner. We have our work cut out restoring this property to environmental value.

This channel is comprised of still photos and videos of wildlife observed on these properties near Leyburn, Queensland Australia.

The cows basically like the taste of blood, which is stored in the ticks.

I wonder if they can add some meds in the water to kill the ticks. They are so nasty.

Is it possible that the crows are doing more harm than good? They seem to be irritating the animals, who appeared to have made their peace with the parasites.

the wallabies actually knows whats going on?
@Lecmos

Older ones do. You can tell by their shorter ears. Ticks bunch up around the ears and cut off blood flow and cause necrosis over time on the older ones so they know that crows are helping them. You can see one of the wallabies not even react when the crow rips off some of the ticks on its body.

The one wallibe is chill and seems to know what the crows are up to, but the other is jumpy AF! I can't get over the size of these ticks!😮
