@@JaclynFriedlander Discovery Princess on the California Coast. Been following your journey since our class together years ago and I screamed when I saw this video. Hope to see your lovely face on a voyage one day. 🤞🏾 Can’t wait to see which ship you make amazing!
@@TamikaRS I hope you have an amazing voyage on Discovery. Thank you for your kind words. I've been following along your journey as well. Keep in touch :)
And this is how tourists are going to die. SCUBA requires a certification because it has some significant dangers without proper training. Snuba has those same dangers, but somehow that is allowed without training and certification.....?!?
I suppose these sharks eat anything but fish--so in a sense, they could simply target other respective animals! Bruce would hunt for marine mammals, sea birds, sea turtles, large squid, rays, etc. Anchor would target crustaceans, rays, and turtles. And Chum, well if he isnt hunting for marlins, swordfish and tuna who are fast fish, then it could hunt seals and dolphins too.
I play a lot of board games and most of the time the explanations on RU-vid are horrible and confusing. your explanation of this game is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
Amazinly Bruce and Chum's species belong to the same family of sharks. Great whites and makos are mackerel sharks. In Australia Great Whites are also called white pointers and makos are also called blue pointers.
@@JaclynFriedlander oh I know that moon jellies don’t sting humans but what is their venom capable of? (Specifically towards smaller creatures that can be stung)
@@Alex_the_airbender Oh got it! I don't know exactly how much venom but I know they eat zooplankton and larva in the water so I imagine their stinging power isn't that strong toward fish either. Supposedly they can eat small fish but I've only ever seen them glowing with plankton.
Fun fact: 81% of plastics and trash in the ocean comes from Asia . Less than 5% comes from the U.S. .The Philippines alone make up more than 30% of that 81% that comes from Asia.
Interesting. I wonder if it is a different edition of the game or if the rules have been updated. The version I have were the pre-release rules so that might have been updated.
I have so many amazing memories at Crystal River! I am pretty sure I have been calling that stuff turtle grass all my life, what is the difference between Eel Grass and Turtle Grass? @Jaclyn Friedlander Nice work, Thank You!
Hi @Captain Joshua! What a great question. The way I understand it, both eel grass and turtle grass are types of sea grass, however turtle grass grows in saltwater and eel grass grows in freshwater. Their scientific names are different (that's how you really know what species and/or plant family they are from) and then things like "turtle grass" "eel grass" etc. are either their common names or colloquialisms.
Hi Boris! Thank you for your question! That's how I've been playing it as well, but I'm not 100% sure if that's correct. Mandoo games is the publisher so I would suggest reaching out to them for further clarification. Board Game Geek forums also sometimes have good insight into official rules clarifications.
@@JaclynFriedlander hey thank you for replying so fast! Yeah, that's enough for me. After I gave it some thought I figured the pros of that ability so we will keep playing like this :)
You can try using shutter control if you can't adjust your iris, but you need to be mindful of how that can affect your motion blur. You can also use Flexible ISO, I do that often when I'm in run and gun situations with little control over the existing light. Keep in mind that the base ISOs will still perform best so try and stay around 800 or 12,800. I will go as low as 640 to reduce light or 1600 to add one stop (so I'm still within one stop of the 800 base) but if I need more exposure than that I would jump up to the higher 12,800 base. what you don't want to do is shoot at 6400 because 12,800 will be cleaner. As you can see in the video, using flexible iso is more what you see is what you get.
I got a copy of this and played it for the first time today. My friend and I loved it. I'm definitely glad for your video as we were playing slightly wrong with the potions, but now going forward it'll be righted agter seeing it explained here haha. This definitely takes a few plays to get used to. Your instincts are to try to win every trick, but the trick is to balance it and not always win every trick to win the game hahaha. We played three games total tonight. Definitely on my top game list! I played Mr. Hyde and on our third game I was won space away from winning.
Hi Nick, I'm glad you like the game and found my video to be helpful. You're absolutely correct, as a gamer, it is really difficult to get out of the habit of trying to win every trick!
Do you have your own scuba gear like wetsuit and dive gloves and dive hood and dive boots and dive fins dive mask and scuba tank and bcd and regulator to breath from and breath underwater with dive buddy
For scuba diving, I have my own personal gear (wetsuit, mask, boots etc) and usually rent a regulator, bcd, tank and weights :) For Snuba, they provide the regulator and you don't need a tank or BCD, you just use the weights and then swim to control buoyancy. It is up to you if you want to wear a wetsuit, depending how cold the water is, and they provided the masks for people who didn't have their own.
