For any US readers, the 425 degree F temp is incorrect, which I found out when mine were dark brown, almost burnt, after 22 minutes. So I checked a conversion site. It should be 375 degrees F. Might make all the difference, but I expect I'll be sending the husband out for pizza or something since the potato and turnip is probably still raw.
To my surprise the potato did cook and these were delicious. Next time, though, I'll cook for the full time at 375 because the pastry was a little too dark,

Thank you! I'd love to know what you think Thomas! This one took many tests to perfect but I was determined to get as much flavour as possible whilst keeping the recipe simple. I hope you enjoy it 😀🌱
No meat? In't a Cornish Pasty. S'a a pastry n' veg THING! N' we call em TURNIPS (caps lock ... means very important). You in't Cornish, you're an Emmet in't ya 🙂
This looks AMAZING! 😍 I'm saving this in a playlist so that I can try it. Thank you very much; I can hardly believe how clear your instructions are in such a concise video.
I made this yesterday, and it was not a success. My wife and I are huge pasty fans, so we were looking forward to trying it. The filling is fantastic. My only change was to pre-fry the mushrooms, reducing them down in the process. The pastry, on the other hand, was revolting. It was so bad we ended up not eating the pasties. Far too greasy, far too crumbly, not flaky enough. Again, I followed the instructions to the letter, and it looked pretty good throughout the process.
I've been making them constantly the past few weeks a combination of an unhealthy version and a healthy version there so addictive and I find there even better the following day after there baked 😃🌱
YES Thomas! I'm totally with you on the constant supply of brownies 😁 I bake them, cut them up and keep them in the freezer ready to pull one out with my morning cup of tea 😋 I'd love to know what you do for your healthy version?
@@aveganvisit for a healthier version I use powdered oats bananas peanut butter raw cocoa powder powder vegan choc chips unsweetened almond milk and a little baking powder... I have to admit there not as good as the sweetened ones but as I say there healthier and still very tasty 🙂🌱
@@tommyj7766 It's always good to have a healthier option available too and that sounds like a good mix of ingredients 🌱 I like to keep healthy millionaires slices in the freezer too, plenty of snacking options available then ☺
Hi Jayden :) The recipe is linked in the description box (short videos move a bit too quickly to put the ingredients/method on screen). It's www.aveganvisit.com/home/chocolate-brownies for the written recipe or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dC8d1YbnB3c.html for the full RU-vid recipe. I hope you enjoy them!
This looks awesome.. just saw another video where they cooked the contents before adding to the pastry!!!! - -sorry that is NOT a Cornish Pasty.. the comments were turned off :-) - - - however loving this .. and the idea of the gravy is one i've not come across before..
Thank you James! These pasties were inspired by a vegan pasty I had a few years ago in a little bakery in the South West. Some veggie pasties can be a little dry but this one had the most beautiful thick gravy around the vegetables, it was so delicious I had to re-create it! I hope you enjoy the pasties if you make them 🙂
