I recently looked at buying points for Southwest airlines at double points. Even at double points it was cheaper to buy a flight. It may depend on the flight as I only looked at a single flight scenario but paying with double points would have cost an extra $25.

Where I live (Sweden) everything is more expensive than the US in general, but grocery stores will swap an empty gas cannister for a full one for just $5-8. I think the soda stream ones cost more. Paying $15 for a replacement sounds like you're mostly paying for shipping. Stupid system imo.

To achieve a secure retirement, aiming to save at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) is advisable. Online tools can assist in calculating the best savings strategy for you, considering factors like age and income. Consistently saving this percentage can help build your retirement fund effectively, thanks to the benefits of compound interest.

For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.

It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $875k by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.

No offense, but this is incredibly flawed. The one method you did not show, is by using a 5 lb CO2 canister, regulators, and old soda bottles. 6x as much C02 per refill (same price as a sodastream canister), you can use old soda bottles instead of buying sodastream bottles (20oz to 2L bottles), and the best part is you can strengthen the carbonation. A SodaStream is limited to 15 psi, where standard carbonation is closer to 30 to 60 psi. You can adjust this with your 5 lb CO2 canister, and adjust according to how strong you want it. Get seriously works out to fractions of a cent per bottle. If you were to compare this method, you would have a completely different end result. Look up diy carbonation methods on youtube with a 5lb cylinder. Seriously, it cost almost the same price as a sodastream, yet you get six times as much CO2 per bottle, you can make the carbonation stronger. Not to mention you can carbonate whatever you want, not just water. Ever thought of re carbonating a flat soda before? Well now you can with the setup I just described. I'd like to see you break down the cost if you included that option. Do a RU-vid search of DIY 5 lb water carbonation, you'll see how insanely inexpensive it can be done for. There's even a video that has a link to a keg store with all regulators and attachments included. And that cost just as much as a sodastream, with two bottles, one canister, and a bottle of flavoring. Yet it's fractions of a cent to carbonate a 20 oz bottle. There's no better way to do it, and this video is conclusion seriously would be completely different. You can have your CO2 canisters refilled anywhere you can go to buy paintball equipment. or anywhere they sell dry ice. This seriously is a game changer for me

@@Dxriz1worked for me. Retired at 50, about 65% of our assets are in ROTH IRA. Allows us to keep traditional IRA distributions in a nice low tax bracket (using 72t to avoid penalties) and supplement that with Roth contribution+conversion withdrawals. Keep plugging away and it can really work. Especially important if picking stocks to invest in companies you believe in otherwise during a downturn you’ll feel an unbearable pressure to sell at lows. Investing more aggressively in a roth is more beneficial cos the risk reward is more skewed toward getting a reward and keeping it all, plus you can get in and out of positions when you think the time is right instead of feeling trapped in a position cos of possible tax consequences. Good luck!

Sorry for the late reply and comments but I’m dealing with this issue right at this moment. One point I will make is it appears one can make sparkling water without buying a machine like SodaStream. Instead of thinking about water as the fluid to carbonate, think beer instead. Beer has been carbonated for hundreds of years. For the first several hundred years beer was only carbonated with the CO2 created by the fermentation process. No additional CO2 could be added so it was consumed as it came out of the keg. Towards the end of the US Civil War, refrigeration was catching on in companies that processed food. Beer producers now had a way to cool the beer and that resulted in the liquid beer to hold more carbonation than when it came to out of the keg. So now they could capture the by product of fermentation, CO2 filter it through carbon filters, compress it and put it into tanks for storage and transportation. So, draft beer from kegs could be shipped all over the country and world along with CO2. The beer was injected with CO2 at the point of sale so you now had fresh, cool, bubbly beer available anywhere. Moving to modern times we can carbonate water in our home. The magic is you don’t need a $100 machine to do it. We treat the water like beer. We buy CO2 in bulk defined as tanks of 5, 10, 15 or 20 pounds of CO2 at a time. You get a tank that holds the previously mentioned number of pounds of CO2. The tanks can be new, made of steel or aluminum (aluminum is lighter) new or used & recertified. Then add a pressure regulator for the CO2 tank and the vessel you will inject with water and CO2 such as a 2 liter soda bottle. The you need 10 to 20 feet of pressure hose and a few other pieces of hardware. Set up cost $75 to $175 for a CO2 tank, $55 to $85 for the regulator set, then $10 for hose and $40 for miscellaneous. A fresh tank of CO2 runs $20 to $40 a refill. A 20 pound tank of CO2 is equivalent of about 60 SodaStream canisters of CO2. If you own a SodaStream just buy an adapter put it on the rubber hose and lock the adapter in place of a SodaStream canister. Everything functions like it did except you spend money to fill your tank. My math says the tank refills is paid by saving the cost of about 4, CO2 canisters. CO2 is easy to get from taprooms, breweries, welding supply companies and companies similar to AirGas, Inc.

NOT CONSIDERED: In some states they tax aluminum cans. On the Aldi can then, at 24 cents a can, it is almost a 50% tax per can at 10 cents bringing your cost to 34 cents a can. That is, unless you are willing to both change your kitchen waste setup (having three waste cans 1 for trash, 1 for aluminum cans, and one for single stream recyclables) and take the time to return the cans...I am not willing. This aggressive and horrible tax changes things.

Let’s say a person’s social security would be $2,000 a month if he takes it at age 63. but he doesn't take it and it goes up 8%..so if at age 64 the amount would be $2,000 + 8%- or $2,160? And then if person waits until age 65 the monthly would be $2,160 + 8%- or $2,332?
