How does your max Swiss bar pr translate into your normal bench bar pr? Let’s say my normal bench is 285 what should my Swiss bar pr be around?

Slightly less. Maybe 2% less imo. The main reason you change the variations is so you dont get over use injuries. Doing the same presses for weeks on end especially once you get stronger will beat you up.

Definitely was a grind! I have lost considerable strength the last two years due to not focusing on squatting and losing weight. So i am going to try to squat more now to keep as much as possible

Your pullups were text book opposite to what is required to perform effective pullups. Far too much lower body pushing to get over the bar. When your legs should be pointed directly toward the ground with little to no movement from them. All effort coming from the upper body. When done correctly, the pullup is an amazing and of course very challenging exercise.

​@@maxxsstrengthandpowerlifti188 lol what a troll comment... Keep at it, "cheating" when you cant fully perform the movement due to lack of strength / fatigue is totally OK. I would even go as far to say that cheating (towards the end of the set) is required to get over some pesky plateaus and gain strenght.

@@maxxsstrengthandpowerlifti188 yeah losing weight when your long limbed definitely kills your leverages but I still think it’s all around more healthy . I was much stronger at 240 but I’ve kinda stayed in that 215-220 range the last few years . The pros are it’s easier for me to move around and I don’t get tired so easily. I think there’s a fine line . I don’t wanna loose so much weight that I loose all strength but I try and put a cap on how much I wanna weigh . Thanks man !

@@wilsong4096 pretty much the same to me. Im 64 barefoot. Long legs but short arms. I think 230-240 would be a healthy weight for me. How tall are you carrying 215? I thought without knowing you were probably 62 240

@@maxxsstrengthandpowerlifti188 Not in my view. My best squat in the 242lb class (110kg), was 360kg (793lbs), with high bar narrow legged stance, and I never entertained the idea as having any merit. I squatted that weight in the UK in 1991 at a time when no one in Europe had squatted 400kgs (880lbs) at ANY bodyweight. Just squat properly. It's not the bench press.

i'm also 6'4 and mine is horridenously bad, trying to find people similiar in dimensions to me to see how they do it. Your form is way superior to mine and your weight you can lift. Why do you not use squatting shoes or are those squatting shoes? Have you tried elevating your heels ever?
