Spaces for men and women Greek houses would typically contain an ‘andron’, or men’s room. This was a sort of lounge where men would host friends and associates and hold ‘symposia’, essentially dinner parties. Ancient Greek women would tend to avoid this area of the house, remaining instead in the ‘gynaeceum’, or women’s room. These areas were often at the rear of the house or upstairs - away from the public. A depiction of a family scene in a gynaeceum, c. 430 BC. Wealthy citizens might have the option of eating meat and fish at home, while the poor would more often eat porridge and bread. Food could be prepared in the courtyard to avoid filling the house with smoke: properties rarely had chimneys and were instead fitted with thin slats in the roof to allow smoke and heat to slowly escape. Space to work A key facet of many ancient Greek houses was an area reserved for work. Rooms or sections of the property would be used by the family’s workers to ply their craft, whether that was making cheese, weaving cloth, repairing sandals or any other trade. Larger, wealthier homes might have been attached to dedicated workshops or stores. But for the masses, work would often be done in the home, the courtyard or perhaps on the flat roof, if the property had one. Bathrooms Ancient Greek homes rarely had bathrooms. Most properties didn’t have wells or water supplies, so women would fetch water from outside the home. Public latrines and chamber pots - typically emptied on the street - were used in lieu of domestic toilets. Public latrines in the ancient Greek city of Ephesus, modern-day Turkey. Image Credit: Shutterstock Only the wealthiest citizens could bathe at home: domestic baths required the space to do so as well as slaves to fetch the water and prepare the bath. Most people instead visited public baths or washed in rivers and streams or with buckets of water. Furniture Ancient Greek homes didn’t contain much furniture. Mats made of reeds or straw might line the floors, and homes might contain some wooden stools or tables. Beds were often made of grass or animal products such as feathers or wool. Wealthier homes could contain mosaics or paintings, but generally, the ancient Greeks demonstrated their wealth through jewellery, lavish parties and opulent clothing more so than interior design. French sculptor Auguste Rodin took inspiration from the classical art he saw at the British Museum in 1881. Now Janina Ramirez returns to that very same institution to guide us round the exhibition of his iconic works and ancient influences, displayed here side-by-side for the first time. WATCH NOW While ancient Greece is typically associated with grand and ceremonial structures, urban properties from the period were comparatively more utilitarian: the homes of ancient Greece hosted families according to their means, often without pretension or pompousness. I can see that, although that's surprising. You would think Makima x Gojo would be at the top instead of below Utahime. Maybe the manga has more moments between them?
@@Xavier-ji7bz my reason for telling you that is if your a religious man you could pray for him if not then you cloud ask a friend to pray for him that all
Would you like to see my face and just my camera blocking part of the content both of us are trying to watch goofy. Unless of course you don't want to see me visually reacting which sounds like you need to watch a cameraless reaction instead (never seen one of those so I have no idea what they're actually called).
I do remember that and I can't wait to see that but I'm more so waiting for when Jin -Woo has to get back for his little brother. That shit will be satisfying. (no spoilers)
@@Xavier-ji7bz it’s a Famous burger place in Texas when I was on vacation to Texas I had it there. It was the best burger I had and I don’t like burgers.
Thank you for the recommendation but I won't be reacting to this video. Sorry but this video isn't something I could really show much interest in or reacting to by proxy. No offence of course, I just couldn't enjoy reacting to a boxing match.
And one other thing if you want my preference then some Rick and Morty or maybe some death battle and some anime Anime has a world largest community's so you will have a large number of people watching soon ok
Broo just a video idea first if you can stream then stream your reaction then make clip of your reaction and also make a video obviously your not going to react only on 1 video so plan and grind
I appreciate the advice however I can't stream and probably never will stream in all honesty and also to the other comment, I can't do any of those. Mostly because I'd have to cover up the reactions of Rick and Morty or anime and I'm not editing for nothing. Thank you for the advice nonetheless, I just plan on going my own route (no matter how slow).
Dude, that's perfectly fine. You really don't need to explain yourself to me of all people, in fact it's pretty much the opposite. Although I hope whatever happened to you wasn't anything too bad and you're alright.
Hey man thanks, I appreciate it. Also, no worries I've just been suffering through a cold this past week. It was bad but I'm better now so I should be uploading again by tomorrow or Wednesday at worst. Either way, I appreciate the comment. Thanks.
Thank you, although I'm not as consistent as I would like. Although the last time I was majorly consistent, I ran out of content so I'm trying to not do that. Appreciate the respect tho.
No, you're right. I just don't remember those fights as vividly since Tien and Piccolo were unbelievably outmatched and still threw themselves at Cell which is pretty memorable.
What .. you don't think Solo levelling has potential? I mean I know they fucked up God of highschool but that was plot centred and they were retarded however solo levelling is more spectacle than plot (let's be honest) and in that case we should be good, don't you think?
hey my friend nice video but i have some tips, try to edit out the area on the web around the video so it becomes more clear and comfortable for the viewer to watch, also remove the text around your face so people get a closer view of your reaction, also make your face cam bigger, make sure your voice is louder then the reaction content so your reaction is clearer than the video because people who click on this are trying to see you more than the video, make sure your voice is much more clear with less mixture towards background noise. I hope your youtube career meets your ambition and you r up there in the future 🫡
Thanks for the advice, that's very nice of you although I didn't know there was text around my face, weird. Anyways to the rest of your advice, I don't know how to edit nor do I want to try to edit so those things will stay the same, sorry. I will make my face cam bigger though I wouldn't say people are trying to see me more than the video, personally speaking, I'd think it would be 75/25 (video-reactor) but that's just me. Thank you for the feedback even though I can't do all of it.
Thanks for caring but its honestly alright. This was years ago and I never have to do something like that again thank god, especially since I'm done with education for good, praise the lord 😁. I appreciate the comment tho.
I appreciate the sub although it wasn't truly that bad, I may have exaggerated it in the video but it wasn't that bad. It was just lonesome for the most part though I do appreciate the comment. 👍
Thank you so much man. I definitely want to continue doing reactions when I'm done with the life that is university. Even if I'm doing the bare minimum, I still enjoy doing what I do and I really do like your videos so I can't wait to see more videos from you.
