Hi. I bought azoom leds and got it fitted in projectors. Although the light is very good the problem is the led driver didn't fit in the slot. So had to leave it outside and fixed a tape around the dust cover. I also observed that both led driver and dust cover are getting hot. Is it common and safe? Please suggest
As shown in video, both hi beam and low beam can be adjusted with screw at the same time as the screw moves the complete lights assembly, hote i answered the question.
I am having rapid rider plus. Is there any provision for replacing halogen bulb with led only for low beam? If yes, which type of bulb to be fitted there?
If we widen the light throw; doesn't the density also reduces? and When I tried to widen I wasn't able to actually witness if throw is broadening. If you can suggest something! Can the throw of for housing also be widen?
Hii bro, so i have skoda rapid 1.5 tdi AT diseal 2015 , i am facing a lot of issue with the headlights(projectors), tried changing halogen bulbs but the light throw on road is just horrible i mean nothing is visible in low beam and have to drive in high beam always, that too doesn't make a diff. What will u suggest i should do?
You should add high lumen LED in projectors as in my videos, and also put H11 halogen bulbs or LEDs in fog lams it does make big difference as shown in my videos..
In my focus, rather than clipping a delicate bulb, I found it easier to permanently modify the holder in the fog lamp housing, by filing the slot until it was big enough to accommodate the larger H11 tab.
I Like this upgrade but and I also went ahead and swapped the fog lamps but I couldn’t swap the high beams as LEDs over there can’t be placed due to the cover being too close do you have any suggestions?
I have made a jugad for that i have extended the headlight unit cover hole using a thick PVC pipe, solves the purpose, to check PVC pipe do take the rubber dust cover off high beam light back.
Hi Sir, I have Renault Duster 2015 model. Can I use H11 bulbs as fog lights instead of H16 bulbs? In the car manual it is said that H 11 or 16 can be used. Does this require any wiring changes?
Hi bro..my rapid 2018 model Monte carlo stocks lights visibility is very bad..I want to change the lights which gives good visibility without effecting car electronics.
you will have to connect with Service station or find the items on boodmoo.com I have Skoda Rapid and thought of helping the community as there were no Videos on this to find any help earlier.
Putting LEDs in Reflector types headlight do not solve the purpose as the light tend to get scattered and do not fall in beam fashion, I have put LEDs in Low beam projector and in Fog lamps, and have put black stips at the top section of Fog lamps to control light scatter, like they use to put in old days on headlight.
Hi Beam is a reflector type, and when you put a LED in reflectors, the light gets distorted a lot and do not form a beam pattern that we get from Halogens, you must have experienced with a Car on Hi or Low beam with LEDs in Reflector types blinds you and even as driver of that car you do not get persistent beam as desired for Highways.. I have put LEDs in Reflector type Fog lamps but have used the old way of putting black stripe at the top section of the reflector glass.. but that is not possible on main head light unit as it is at height and putting a black strip on it will not look good.. Hope i answered the question.
Hello Sir, I have skoda rapid 2017 model...the lights of rapid is not that good, doesn't give confidence while driving during the night time. Request you to please suggest the exact combination names you used in this video...Thank you
Hello, please find the details below: Both Hi and low beam in Rapid are fitted with 55 watt H7 Halogen bulbs, and fog lamps are fitted with 35 watt H8 halogen bulbs, I have upgraded the bulbs as below: 1. Hi beam - Philips Xtreme vision GForce - H7 55 watt Halogen 2. Lo Beam - 50 watt LED - 8000 Lumen (In LED Higher the lumens per bulb better and brighter the light) 3. Fog Lamps - Philips Xtreme vision GForce - H11 55 watt Halogen (planning to upgrade these to LEDs and share a video soon ) OR you can also upgrade it to H11 LEDs, Its been a while that i have put LEDs in Fog lamps and has got getter results, did not get time to create video on it. Hope this Helps.
hi can you share the link of these LED bulbs. mine is the black package.need to change the lights urgently, can u share your contact details, just so i can get an clear idea from you
These are NovSight 18000 Lumen (9000 Lm eacg light), LED can be bought from www.cloudsalestore.com/collection/led-car-headlights when available, you can check more options available. Please let me know for any help required.
first thing first. 1. Do you have the Adaptor clip the one that I have shown in my video, Adaptor with round hole to fit LED in it?? 2. When you say LED Size not fitting, is it that it is not getting accommodated in the head light assembly or something else? Let me know more details when you say LED Size, so as to understand the problem.
No, as i have checked, the make of Main headlight unit and of Fog lamps unit is same and also the wiring is same, changing to H11 a 55 watt bulb will not damage the fog light assembly.
Bro i am planning to change my skoda stock light with philips diamond vision what your views on this... And i want to know if we apply led light of night eye or any other company do we loss our warranty plz reply
As per my studies, Philips Dimond vision will be as good as Stock bulbs, just the light will be on whiter side (no increase in brightness), and Warranty lies with the Dealership, its risky to take that shot with Service team. Hope this helps.
Just wanted to ask brother.. can this headlight leveling achieved just by headlight leveler which is provided ? or we have to do it manually using screws only...the way u did.. I am upgrading my swift 2011 headlights to 90/100 bulb.. the stock ones are pathetic😔.. and fog lamps from H8 to H11 by seeing your video 😄.. Great content keep up ! ❤
Headlight leveler inside the cabin of car are to lower the beam, if you notice, there is no option to take it up. Here is the role of screw that I have showcases in video to level is up as per your requirement, cos you can always bring it down sitting in drivers seat. While upgrading to 90/100 halogens make sure to add relay and new external wiring with Ceramic holders else your wring will melt on a long ride and also may cause fire. Hope this help.
@@vtgtsvlogs9152 Thanks for ur response dude...yes I have a heavy duty relay installed... actually I feel my headlights are a bit out of level.. cause the high beam hits the trees above instead of road... After watching ur video I asked my mechanic to level it once the new bulbs are installed
As there are no wire cuts and also the lights are well within the wattage limit of OEM lights, so there should be no issues with Warranty, also my car has visited the service center twice after changing the lights, they do check the complete car and did not raise any alarm.
@@vtgtsvlogs9152 Thanks I have Rapid Style 2018 and mechanic was able to fix LED in low beam (projector) without needing to tamper the dust cover, so domes were not needed . But he could not install LED in the High beam as the space inside is not sufficient to insert LED with a fan, was this the reason you chose to put Bulb in high beam instead? Also, with mixed lighting setup (Different colour temperatures) in your car now, are you comfortable driving on highways or considering high beam also getting replaced with LED?
Going thru other comments below, all my questions are answered. You are doing a great job for the Rapid community and very promptly responding to all comments, Thanks once again.
Happy to answer again, Fitting LED in Hi beam was not a big deal but i preferred to keep the halogens, as this also solves the issues of driving in Rain (yellow light difference) and also LED has very bright light and it scatters a lot if we put it in reflector type headlight, tough i have put LED in reflector type Fog lamps, but have made the old school jugad to minimize scattering by putting a black tape at top section of Fog lamp. Car looks different from crowd and has better light throw in city and Amazing on highways.
I am planning to upgrade all lights to leds. Below are my choices High beam : AUTOBAHN LED A6 G-XP3 Automotive grade 100W 20000lm 6500K white Headlight bulb (12V,50W) Low beam: Easy Eagle H7 LED Headlight Bulb, 60W 12000Lumens Extremely Bright Conversion Kit CSP Chips 6500K Cold White Fog lamp: Carzex Genuine H8/H11/H16 LED Fog Light Bulbs, 72W/15,000 Lumens Super Bright LED Fog Lamps Conversion Kit for Cars 6000K Cool White Parking lamp :Osram LED T10 2825DW-02B Parking Lamp (12V, 1W) for All Models Also I have added H7 Adapter: Pair H7 LED Headlight Bulbs Adapters Holders Retainers for Audi BMW VW Dustcover: AUTOBAHN Rubber Housing Seal Dust Cover for H1 H4 H7 H11 9005 9006 HID LED Conversion Kit (Pack of 2) Will it cause any issue to battery?
Thank you contacting with your query. With the configuration you have shared, YES, it will cause load on battery and battery may die sooner than expected timeline. If you have made your mind to do this upgrade then make it a practice to not to put on lights when engine is off. Put the headlights on only when Engine is ON, do not keep you car in Auto Headlight setting as it puts on the light as soon as you put the key in car, that drains the battery. I also have put LEDs in Low beam and Fog lamps, LED in low beam projector has no issues as light is well directed. but in reflector type fogs the light scatters a lot, so i have put a black tape at the Top section of fog lamp (as it was done in old days) to prevent light getting into eyes of incoming traffic.. Hope this help.
yes, you will need big dust covers of 70mm diameter for Low beam projector section, make sure the LED light is not touching any section of headlight unit body or to the dust cover, as it may melt the sections and cause damage to car and in case fire also. I have made a jugag to extend the Headlight unit section by extending it with PVC water pipe joint and then put the dust cover. Please make sure the the light wire is also moved away from LED body.
@@vtgtsvlogs9152 UPDATE : I have tried the above combination. It worked for low beam as well as for fog lamp, even without changing the dust cover :) .Unluckily for high beam the housing is very close to the rear end of bulb holder, so couldn't fit led to it. The dustcap opening is exactly not opposite to the bulb holder, it placed side ways so cannot insert the led bulb as the fan and heat sink is projecting outside the holder. So I had to go with Osram halogen (night vision breaker laser 55w) bulbs for high beam. I am trying to find an led with smaller fan and heat sink. If you have any link please do share.
I would suggest to keep Halogen in Hi Beam and try it out for a while, you will be happy to keep it all the while.. cos in City we dont need Hi beam, so this wont affect how the car looks in City and on Highway who cares.. ;)
Sorry for late reply, there is no such provision to just adjust the high beam, the way of adjusting the headlight shown in the video will adjust both High and low beam.
Sorry for late reply, Visibility is good with white headlights, also I have upgraded the Fog lamps to white LEDs, will post video on it soon. Visibility has certainly better than yellow lights as LEDs are much brighter.
Sorry for late replay, this one at Amazon should be perfect fit for Hi beam. www.amazon.in/Aluminum-Retainer-Corrosion-Resistance-Headlight/dp/B09YSVRZX1/ref=sr_1_2?crid=72AH9KVQSGA0&keywords=led+holder&qid=1654509265&s=automotive&sprefix=led+holde%2Cautomotive%2C187&sr=1-2

Great information. I use a '21 Ambition model and I fell that the headlight throw is underwhelming. I am looking for a plug and play upgrade for low and hi beams, without voiding the warranty (6 yrs) at any cost. Can you please suggest any suitable options with the required specs and configuration to look for? Thank you
Sorry for late reply, Go for Philips Xtreme Vision plus H7 for High and low beam, and Philips Xtreme vision plus H11 for Fogs, this will not void the Warranty and will certainly increase the night vibility.
Hi brother thnks for beautiful info pls suggest me I hv skoda rapid ambition 2020 model. Today I hv updated my hi beam light to LED aozoom 55W but its no use light throwing wherever it wants they charged me 8500. Pls help wt should I use I hv wasted 85000
Sorry for late reply, Put those LEDs into the Low beam projectors, that will increase the light in proper projected direction and get Philios Xtreme vision plus for High beam. Hope this helps
Sorry for late reply, bro try to get it removed from Professional service person as it need the bumper to be removed from some sections and i will not suggest you to do so.
Hi any idea on how this H4 ll look like ? Will it glow white or normal warm halogen. I'm planning to put H4 as the stock is totally dim... Also I felt 1.0 tsi rapid is floaty at highway speeds. Any idea to make it strong and confident at highway speeds like old rapid ventos... should i upgrade the suspension to have more stability...
If I understand your first question correctly, you want to put Philips Xtremevision plus GForce H4 bulb in your car, then, yes, it is brighter than stock and is a good upgrade, light is not wight but brighter. To answer your second question: On Highway please try not to go beyond 110 KMPH speed, any car would be dangerous beyond that speed, hope you understand what I want to say, and I have not been on newer Rapid on highway so do not know how it rides.
@@vtgtsvlogs9152 thanks for reply. My old polo 2012 was more planted in highways and could take corners but unfortunately the power wasn't sufficient. Same with old vento and rapid. I felt new cars with 1.0 tsi feel little light in overall weight than just the engine bay. But definitely way better than Hyundai Hondas. For German standard I felt the car is little less...I agree to ur point on speeds. I maintain at 100- 120.. occassionally push it beyond that.. I have upgraded to Philips extreme vision as suggested by skoda showroom guys
