I living in Berlin in the summer of 1991. Was at a local bar when I found myself in conversation with a fellow patron. We had a lovely chat for about 20 minutes, before he excused himself politely. A few minutes later, that same fellow was performing on stage. I didn’t know at the time, but I had met Sheldon J. Plankton. I’ll never forget that afternoon.
Plankton works really well for Metal/Rock songs with a lot of yelling and/or angry-sounding vocals, since there's plenty of samples of Plankton yelling and screaming.
It’s hilarious that all these people through the years have attempted to emulate Layne’s singing, only to be bested by a voice actor who gave life to an evil microorganism that wants to have a successful fast food chain. I love the internet.
