Great video 👍 I have just bought a DJI mini 2 4k and love it, I would love to fly down the seafront but I always thought it was not allowed due to flying over people etc ? Or is it ok as it’s over water ?
@@albysmith3747 thank you 🙂, I get confused with the rules, as one thing says you can't fly over groups of people, one thing says you can't fly within 50m of people, and other things say those rules don't apply to drones under 250g, so I tend to just say away from people all together and fly over water on the seafront
Having just returned from my first cruise (on this ship - Ambience) I was amazed at its manoeuvrability. At times when berthing it was the equivalent of parallel parking in a car with a couple of feet at either end to play with.
hey thank you glad you like it. its located at a place called Cadover Bridge on lee moor sorry i don't know the post code. if your coming from Plymouth then just before the bridge on the main road turn right and follow the road till you cant go anymore and the park car is on the right. if your coming from Dartmoor then turn right straight after the bridge. the road can be seen at 4:09 in the video and also the car park which is on top of the clay pit can be seen at 4:50 . the only advice i can give you is make sure to check check and double check the weather as its quite high up and the weather can be very unpredictable. hope this helps :)
thank you glad you liked it :), its a great place to fly but the weather (wind) is very unpredictable so just keep that in mind, just after i took flight for this video the wind became strong out of nowhere as can be seen in the water rips
Thanks for this. It brings back so many great memories. From when I did my my school work experience at the flying club there in the early 90s to when I returned later that decade as a young flight instructor to build hours. I remember the game being to land on 13 and vacate the runway at the intersection. Can only have been around 100m! Possible in a Cessna 152, but not easy! Fantastic times. I even landed the Dash 8 there a few times as my first airline job was with Brymon Airways. Sad to see it like this. Happy memories though!
hey there thank you for your comment :). im glad it bring back happy memories for you. i also does for me as this place got me into plane spotting back when i was a little guy hahah. i do remember hearing about the game of landing on 13 and pulling off the intersection and i remember watching it a few times hahah, theres a good chance i might have seen you flights in and out over the years. but sadly all my photos from back then cant be found :/. its sad to see the way this airport is now and i live in hope some day it might just reopen once more :)

theres a guy on YT by the handle of "Short Field" , he did a short flight from Anisfield near Goldhangar to this airstrip , very interesting as he was in controlled airspace
